And you trot out nothing to contradict them but your say-so. Y'all keep insisting that it wasn't about slavery, but the actual secession conventions issued the declarations and said that it WAS, in fact, all about slavery, with maybe a token nod toward navigation acts (Georgia) or Indians (Texas). If you've got some contemporaneous documents, some speeches by southern leaders, some newspaper editorials that say what's leading the southern states to secede, and it isn't overwhelmingly about slavery and the threat to slave property rights that the Republican electoral victory supposedly posed, I'd love to see it.
