AN American schoolteacher accused of murdering six-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey in the US in 1996 has told police in Thailand that the girl died accidentally from an overdose of chloroform he administered before raping her. A senior Thai police official said that under questioning in Bangkok, Karr said he had chloroformed the child so he could rape her in the basement of her home in Boulder, Colorado.
“He told us that after sex he realised he had accidentally killed her,” said General Suwat Tumrongsiskul, director of immigration police. “He also told us that they loved each other. She was 'his' beauty queen.”

I still remain unconvinced that she wasnt in fact killed by her big brother hitting her in the head with his baseball bat while she was up late sitting at the table eating pineapple which she loved and which remained undigested in her stomach.....on the phone call tapes later Mr Ramsey can be heard telling him.."We're not talking to you now"....in my mind he remains the prime suspect

The one thing that makes me think he might be the one is, he (allegedly) wrote details in his letter to the Ramseys, that no one other than the PD and DA were privy to.
However, his story is getting weirder and sicker by the minute...

I just heard that he did this to get out of jail in that country.. Doh! Suddenly the most obvious makes the most sense! Even child rapists prefer American prisons.

He was picked up in Thailand but was not in jail until the arrest. He also has outstanding warrants for his arrest from California for child porn and pedophilia related charges.
What I'm interested in learning is how the Boulder DA's office tracked him to Thailand, coordinated the arrest with Thai officials, the FBI and ICE and managed to keep any leaks out of the press.

Maybe he is guilty, but is now throwing wrenches into his story to make it seem like he's really a nutcase making the whole thing up. (Anything is possible).
The DNA evidence should tell more.
