Holocaust caricature exhibition will provoke Islamophobia - Russian human rights activists
Moscow, August 17, Interfax - Russian human rights organizations have stated that the Holocaust caricature exhibition in Tehran will entail an upsurge of Islamophobia and called on the Iranian authorities to close it down.
In an appeal to the Iranian embassy and the UN office in Moscow, they called to listen to the public voice and to close down the exhibition in order to prevent unrest throughout the world, to prevent the prerequisites for Islamophobia.
The caricatures mocking the Holocaust tragedy amounts to jeering at the memory of six million innocent lives stopped in gas chambers, shot in ditches and burnt in crematoria. This is scoffing at the suffering of the survivors of the fascist ghettos and concentration camps the letter states.
At the same time, the authors of the letter expressed confidence that the exhibition will fail to drive a wedge between adherents of Islam and Judaism and to instigate them to a new spiral of tension and aggression.
The human rights activists also pointed out that the Russian legislation, unlike laws in European countries, does not provide, regrettably, for any responsibility for the denial of the Holocaust tragedy and the Russian education system has no single program for studying the history of Holocaust.
The address was signed by the Moscow Human Rights Bureau, the Holocaust Foundation and the Al-Haq Muslim human rights organization.
With "islamophobia" being defined as legitimate criticism of Islam. Can't have that now.
As far as I'm concerned, the world needs a lot more Islamophobia.
No kidding. Keeping them out of the country constitutes the minimum acceptable level of Islamophobia, and we're a long way from that.
What's more, the Iranian authorities censored some of the contributions. They asked for cartoonists to enter equally "insensitive" works. Some American cartoonists did, in ways that exposed ugly truth's about the Iranian request.
In the end, the Iranians culled it down to 200+ cartoons from 1200 entries.
All over "12 cartoons" (and 3 images the Imam ADDED to the controversy).
They had me at 9-11
So rampant antisemitism will cause an undue fear of muslim extremists?
O-kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay... < /s >
Let me see if I've got this straight -- the Russians want the Iranians to stop mocking the Holocaust because they think that it will create Islamophobia?
How nice of the Russians to suggest that the jihadists pretend not to be jihadists so that the people they want to kill won't be suspicious of them.
Supression of the exercise of Islam (no matter how militant) is the universally agreed trigger for muslims to engage in "physical jihad" (holy war).
So as Islam becomes more radicalized and more of a threat, the closer they are to their end game of getting the moderates to go to battle.
The question remains whether the NEA will offer a grant to bring this exhibit to the United States.
Once they came out and let us all know quite plainly that Muslims, all of them, expect to impose their religion on the entire world, meaning "submit to Islam or die", we became afraid of them. And not just a little afraid of them, mortally afraid.
No longer could we pretend that we could coexist with Muslims, if only we were more sensitive to their complaints. Now that we know their true agenda, we can do things to stop it.
Nobody knows how this will go down in Europe, probably more with a whimper than a bang... but here in America, it'll be more like this.
Doorbell rings, you start to panic, thinking it's Jehovah's Witnesses. But looking out the window, you see a middle-eastern gentleman on you porch. Out of curiousity you open the door, and it goes something like this.
Achmed: "Good morning sir or ma'am, blessings be upon you. My name is Achmed and I am the Imam of the local mosque that just opened down the street.
I have come to invite you to share Allah's blessings by converting to Islam, and attending my mosque."
You: "Thanks anyway Achmed, but I'm a Methodist. Have a nice day..." and as you start to close the door, you hear Achmed say, "wait, sir, wait... if you refuse this invitation to submit to Allah, bad things may happen to you."
You: Yeah, yeah, yeah... I get e-mails all the time telling me if I don't forward them on to five of my friends, bad things will happen to me to. What kind of bad things you talkin' about anyhow, Achmed?
Achmed: Well, if you cannot bring yourself to convert to Islam, and want to continue practicing your current religion, there is another way."
You: "What's the other way, Achmed"?
Achmed: "Well, you can still practice your religion, not just so openly, and you will have to pay the jizya tax. You will lose your normal rights, and these will be allowed only for believers. And in all other matters, you must still submit to Allah."
You: "That doesn't sound very attractive, Achmed. It sounds like a guy would be smarter to just convert to Islam and avoid all that."
Achmed: "Yes. yes, that is right, come join the ranks of those destined for Paradise!"
You: "Wait a minute, Achmed, what if I decide not to go along with either one of those plans?"
Achmed: "Well, uh [shuffling feet] even worse things could happen to you. Your life will be forfiet to any Muslim who chooses to take it, as will your property... as you can see, it is much better if you answer Allah's call and become a Muslim.

This is an appeal to Muslim logic.
I want to know why there haven't been any riots! I want riots! Just kidding. These islamic facists can keep their religion in their country where it is appreciated. Of course, I really don't consider it a religion, I consider it a cult and we have enough of that sh*t over here.
