BRITISH SINGER CHARLOTTE CHURCH Ignatius Press, one of the largest Catholic publishers in the United States, has refused to sell any works by singer Charlotte Church after she called Pope Benedict XVI a Nazi and mocked the church. In this Aug. 27, 2005, photo, the singer is seen arriving for a gala dinner at a resort in Newport, Wales.

I wonder how long it will be before she starts whining about censorship.

Was she dropped on her head recently? If she's trying to follow Sinead O'Connor's lead, I don't think Sinead's career got any kind of a boost from her SNL antics.

By the way, will the MSM recoil with horror from this as they did from Muhammed cartoons and a drunken Mel Gibson?

Isn't she the one who claimed that as a singer she was more important than the police and firefighters who died in 9/11?
Your talent will dry up and will soon be holding a sign reading, "Will Work For Food." Enjoy it while you can, Charlotte.

Cripes. All my favorite entertainers are quickly becoming less favorite.
She isn't my favorite singer, but I know how talented she is.
Do I ignore her talent and pay attention to her political views, or do I can ignore her political views and admire her talent?
Either way, I'll never feel the same about her music. I guess its a moot point.

What in hell is wrong with these people? Is this a calculated move to get away from a goody-goody image?
If she is trying to be another Madonna she won't pull it off.

Celebrities take a hard fall from grace. They are supposed to set an example for others and when they don't, they get punished more severely for a transgression. When you recall from the Bible Moses gets punished for his sin in Kadesh when he struck the rock with his staff, its because he fell short as a leader. God forgave him many failings but not for showing true leadership qualities when the test was most acute.

Lucky for her she makes her living with her voice 'cause if she had to rely on her brains she would be in real trouble.

Very sad, indeed! Such a gifted voice, but not too surprising, when you realize that in the culture today, one must sell their soul to stay on the top. Many young people don't really understand what they are doing until they are in too deep. I hope that she wakes up soon!

Has she announced a change in religious beliefs before this? You'd think she would have let on that she was unhappy with the Roman Catholic Church before doing something like this.

On 9/11 she said some stupid, insulting things about the US until her agent or manager shut her up. She's a piece of work.

Sometimes the pressures of early stardom are immense.
Charlotte Church achieved fame at age 12 for her incredibly beautiful "angelic" voice. Now she is dating a popular Welsh soccer player and allegedly trying to find her way into adulthood. It sounds like she has a very long way to go.
Here a British tabloid displays her recent weight gain.
Is Charlotte struggling with her weight again?
