30 HIGH PRIORITY terror plots are ongoing and only the good Lord knows how many lesser plots are active.
The airline mass-murder plot alone took 1500 investigators and some of these plots are said to be even more spectacular from the Muslims eyes.
And the problem isn't going to get better ever, it's only going to get worse in the years to come.
This one plot by itself is costing Britain billions, even for a failed attempt.
30 more popping, even if they fail is going to cost billions or tens of billions more.

Far more shocking is that these officials would be surprised at finding 30 plots. I darn well guarantee you that there are a heck of a lot more than 30, and even more being planned over here.

The problem is only as difficult as you make it. If you set the solution parameters at an impossible level, then the solution is impossible. Making screeners waste their time searching Americans looking for Muslim terrorists is a waste of resources. The Muslims are not productive immigrants, we don't need them. Dropping smart bombs to knock out weapon holding non uniformed Jihadists amongst unarmed supporters turns the job into a cat and mouse game dangerous for our young warriors.
A more direct and economical set of solution parameters would be to exterminate all Muslim clerics that preach that America is the Great Satan, Jews are the offspring of pigs and monkeys, Jews control the world, Israel does not have the right to exist, women have to wear head coverings, and Muslims who convert to other religions are to be killed, and Islam is the only true religion. And I would throw in the destruction of Mecca and make outlawing Bibles illegal in Saudi Arabia. We have 1.2 billion Muslims mad and contemptuous of us now. We would then have 1.2 billion Muslims fearful are respectful of us.

A local idiot bought something he thought was "flash powder", which he left sitting on the kitchen table of his apartment when the police showed up with a warrant for a petty drug bust. Since they were going to turn his place anyway, he told them about the "flash powder".
He had enough PA to make a major mess of his kitchen at least, and possibly much worse, though fortunately, it wasn't contained.
It still took police EOD and HAZMAT the better part of an hour to make sure it didn't blow a wall or two out.
