These shrinks most likely do not know what it is to be responsible for soldiers lives that are on the battlefield. Captured enemy soldiers have important information. It is imperative that this information be gotten.

An APA policy issued last year said that while psychologists should not get involved in torture or other degrading treatment, it was ethical for them to act as consultants to interrogation and information-gathering for national security purposes...right - but take a look at some of the experimental methods psychologists use - putting subjects under extreme conflict and stress by making them think they are administering very painful shocks to others, for example - and see how far from "torture or other degrading treatment" they seem - but wait a minute - such studies are not condemned, they get psychologists published, tenure, prestige, and all the rest - what a bunch of frauds.......
