I don't like the way the Iraq war is going.
Unfortunately, the muslims have convinced me that they must be defeated, no matter what the cost, no matter what the price (churchill I think referring to the nazis).
I think the idea of occupation and rebuilding is the part we're going to have to forget. From now on we simply bomb them back to the stone age. I mean we roll out every heavy bomber in the inventory for Iran, Syria etc
Patriotic people can differ on the best way to secure vital interests and debate whether we're overextended or underextended- but there is a time when a nation has to take a stand.
This war could be won rather handily,if politics and political correctness weren't in the mix. There needs to be a supreme military leader with the reasonable power to make military decisions, with military goals in mind. Kind of like Eisenhower. The media needs to be gotten off the necks of the military-they can't do their job, which is to defeat the enemy and keep what they gain, when the media is breathing down their necks to make sure they provide Charmin instead of sandpaper to prisoners,or to make them afraid to shoot at someone reasonably assessed,in the time there is,to be an enemy.
Political correctness is killing this country-just think of the difference between the propoganda used in WWII,and what papers such as the New York Traitor print now. There were images of Hitler,Mussolini, and Tojo, not to mention their soldiers, that would get someone thrown in jail now. After we'd won that war, most Americans didn't have-for very long,anyway-any deep abiding hate for any of those peoples. In fact-Marshall Plan! It helped us,sure, but we'd have made it anyway-we didn't have to do that.
Today's versions of Tokyo Rose and Lord Haw-Haw would be interviewed, and their points of view "objectively" presented by our "impartial" media.
What happened?
