Atlanta, GA (AHN) - New polls show incumbent Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney still trails rival, two-term DeKalb County Commissioner Hank Johnson.
An InsiderAdvantage survey shows Johnson leading the Congresswoman, 53 percent to 40.
According to Atlanta television station, WXIA-TV, on Monday morning, both candidates squared off on the radio in attempt to reach more voters on the Frank and Wanda in the Morning Show on V-103. In the V-103 debate, McKinney charged that Johnson is the candidate backed by Republican voters and Republican money while Johnson pointed out that McKinney was not present for a recent House vote on a critical amendment that would have limited some of the provisions of the Voting Rights Act.
Johnson says, "When John Lewis was standing up, eloquently and emotionally denouncing that vote and that amendment, that Congresswoman McKinney was nowhere to be found."
To which McKinney replied, "You will see on the house.gov/mckinney Website my floor statement that I made in support of the Voting Rights Act. I was there on the floor and I voted for final passage of the Voting Rights Act."

Was she there, or was it one of those revise and extend things???

McKinney is a racist reprobate that is an embarrassment to every Black American. A classless ThugoRat in true form. Let's hope this trash gets voted out of our government for good -- and there are more to hopefully follow.

If she said she voted for final passage, she'd have to have been there.
Otherwise, I agree. It was likely one of the "revise and extend" things.
I'll try to find out whether she voted or not.

Heck no! I'd much rather have Jihad Cindy in that seat than a competent Democrat.

Don't you know it is impossible for Sinfula McCrackerhater to be racist? Blacks can't be racist. On the + side, she can't claim her pending defeat on racism since it's another black man running against her. Let's just hope the good people of GA tell her to get lost for the 2nd time. And you know that if a dumbocrat gets elected, she'll get picked to be the next ambassador to some African or Caribbean island.

McKinney charged that Johnson is the candidate backed by Republican voters and Republican money....This Republican is backing McKinney. Where do I send the money.
She is an embarrassment to the Democratic party and no other elected official could do a better job of showing the public how wrong the Dems are on the issues than McKinney..
Republicans need her---not some other D.

I just hope we don't have to go through this again in two years. Why Majette decided after one term she should run for Senate is beyond me. Hopefully Johnson will run again, and we won't see a redux of Mckinney in congress.

I watched a replay of a debate from last Saturday between McKinney and her opponent Hank Johnson.
He carved her up like a Thanksgiving turkey.
He was clear, straightforward and countered her assertions unemotionally and with facts.
Everything she claimed to be the truth, he had facts and figures to refute. In some instances she was caught flat-out lying.
If she wins this election then she either cheated or the electorate is dumber than a bag of rocks.

McKinney charged that Johnson is the candidate backed by Republican voters and Republican money while Johnson pointed out that McKinney was not present for a recent House vote on a critical amendment that would have limited some of the provisions of the Voting Rights Act. One other thing:
While the above statement is true...as far as it goes...it is not accurate.
When McKinney asserted that Johnson is the candidate backed by Republican voters and Republican money, Johnson's reply was to say that he has researched McKinney's contributors and they are, to a large degree, Muslim organizations that are openly sympathetic to radical Islamic actions and causes.
His reply was NOT, as the article says, that McKinney was not present for a recent House vote.
