I see a pretty big difference between being beaten up by a bully and being the target of hostile email or posts.
Adults who get too emotionally invested in this sort of thing need to step back from the computer. Nobody is going stomp on glasses if you ignore an email.

As a result, I have been signed up for various liberal websites using my original email address in the past--like NARAL, and then I would receive daily updates etc from that disgusting organization. I couldn't unsubscribe from them because the troll who signed me up used a password. That is a good one.

They would never say the same things in person they post on the internet.LOL. And then there are those of us who are more outspoken in real life.

I suspect you may be taking yourself a little too seriously. I'm thinking we may have identified part of the problem here.

You don't advocate shooting people - even in jest.
To: technochick99
True! But then again, we're right...

The best way to treat bullies is to refuse to respond and to refuse to engage them - which they really hate. Excellent advice.....but I do go one better.....I make fun of them on forums they are afraid to post on.....like this one :)
Laughing at them elicits even more frenzy than just ignoring them.

Yes, I did. Now, since the topic of this thread is cyber-bullying, may I ask who is currently occupied in telling whom what he may or may not post?
