Kerry calls for universal health insurance by 2012
Reuters ^ | July 31, 2006 | Reuters

Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts on Monday proposed that all Americans be required to have health insurance by 2012, and that the government should take steps to make sure anyone uninsured at that point receives coverage.

But if we're not there by 2012, we will require that all Americans have health insurance, with the federal government guaranteeing they have the means to pay for it," Kerry said.

He said his plan could be financed by repealing the Bush administration's tax cuts for people earning more than $200,000 a year. He did not say how he would enforce the proposal to have all Americans insured if his plan is not implemented by 2012.

We are deep in a war for the planet's survival and this tool is reliving the 70's ecology days.

Stark (D)offers universal health insurance plan

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1676123/posts

Rep. Pete Stark of Fremont (CA), who would play a key role in the national health care debate if Democrats take control of the House in November, announced a plan Tuesday for universal medical insurance for all Americans.

Stark, the ranking Democrat on the House Ways and Means health subcommittee, offered a plan that is based on Medicare's payment rates and low-cost administrative structure and a requirement that employers provide coverage for all their workers, even part-timers.

By offering his far-reaching plan, Stark laid down a marker, letting it be known that he and other advocates of the long-debated idea of universal medical insurance will be key players if Democrats get back the House control they lost in 1994, just as then-President Bill Clinton's sweeping health care proposals went down in flames.

He said his plan could be financed by repealing the Bush administration's tax cuts for people earning more than $200,000 a year.

In other words, a tax increase,

He did not say how he would enforce the proposal to have all Americans insured if his plan is not implemented by 2012.

By the thuggish iron fist of government, of course...

What a maroon. Repeal the tax cut for the rich (and the middle class) and the economic activity it generated slows. Less economic activity = more layoffs = less revenue. The freshman student from Economics 101 can figure this out.

However, the Nancy boy who married all his money just doesn't get it.

I call for Universal Kerry Insurance by 2008.....a unique and much desired insurance policy that compensates us for the pain and suffering endured by American taxpayers who have to both look at his freaking ugly mug and bend over and pay for his socialistic fruitloop policies.

God, our free society is just hanging by a thread if one of our political parties can have such ideas and be allowed to stay in office. We are resisting them, but barely. Eventually, with the continued dumbing down of our society and the ever growing tide of illegal aliens into our country Socialists like Kerry will take control and the nation as we know and love it will be finished. It's inevitable.

The most frightening thing is that many Republicans seem to be helping them.....
