I've written a lot about my disdain for Condi's support of a Palestinian terror state. Here are some excerpts:

Every reader knows by now that I don't hide my disdain for the current Secretary of State Condi Rice. Her vociferous advocating of a Palestinian Hamas terror state in the midst of the war on terror, along with other appeasement policies in regard to Iran, have really rattled my nerves as a "red meat conservative". Well, it looks like other major conservatives are now calling for her removal. Here is an article from Insight Magazine that reports about major conservatives such as Richard Perle, Newt Gingrich, and top aids to Cheney and Rumsfeld calling for Bush to remove Miss Rice from the State Dep't. Newt explained his position, "We are sending signals today that no matter how much you provoke us, no matter how viciously you describe things in public, no matter how many things you're doing with missiles and nuclear weapons, the most you'll get out of us is talk. Also, "Condi was sent to rein in the State Department, a senior congressional staffer said, "instead she was reined in".

The article goes on to say, "the critics said Miss Rice has adopted the approach of Mr. Burns and the State Department bureaucracy that most if not all problems in the Middle East can be eased by applying pressure on Israel. They said even as Hezbollah was raining rockets on Israeli cities and communities, Miss Rice was on the phone nearly every day demanding that the Israeli government of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert exercise restraint." This article has confirmed my fears about the Clintonian foreign policy of Miss Rice.

Rice has just met with arch terrorist Mahmoud Abbas. She announced that she expects two states to exist side by side. So lets get this straight. She meets with Arafat's top deputy and demands the creation of a Palestinian terror state in the midst of a war that was triggered by these very Clintonian suicidal policies of concessions and appeasement that she is advocating once again! She is actually calling for a Hamas state! Also, keep in mind that Abbas, besides for being out of power and irrelevant is just as much of a terrorist as Hamas. He is the head of Fatah which fields the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades, which is based in Syria. So this guy who was the top aid of Hitler in a headscarf and who has ties ti Syrian terrorists is able to have a cordial audience with an American Sec. of State?! And by the way, nobody has ever explained to me how it is geographically possible to create two states (in an area the size of New Jerzey) without breaking one in half? Only one of them can be contiguous

What you are really saying is that the president should change his policy. If he needs to, then, lay the blame on her to save face, he should do so.

He's not that kind of guy. When he decides to change policy, he will and he'll take the hit himself.

Now to the specifics:

She and Bush are handling the Lebanon incursion pretty well. They have said they favor a cease-fire just as soon as Hezbollah disarms, which pretty clearly means "when they surrender". Hezbollah understands it, so does Lebanon, and so does everyone else.

She and Bush continue to favor the so-called "two-state" solution in palestine, which is really a three-state solution, but who's counting. That is still Israel's position, actually. But neither she nor Bush have done anything to impede Israel as they go about their business in Gaza.

I don't favor the fantasy-notion of an independent Gaza or West Bank at all, and I'll be happy when the smart folks have abandoned that idea for good. But until Bush (and the Israelis) are ready to dump the idea, Rice will continue to walk the line.

Bush/Rice have not only continued to arm Israel in the middle of the battle but have made sure everyone knows about it, and they are delivering bunker busters, just to make the point clear for anyone not paying attention.

She has been horrible. But she isn't going to be fired or moved.

Gotta disagree with you. I'd rather have an intelligent Condi as SOS than shoot from the lip idiots like Perle or egomaniacs like Newt.

Screw em.

Rice is nice person, but a lightweight in the arena of world politics. She should be "transferred" somewhere.

LOL More unnamed sources and "they said".

Perle and Newt just wish they were SOS. They obviously think they would not have to follow their president's directives. Envy makes for ugly.

It's rare that I post but I can't let this pass.

Dr. Rice is a diplomat, our top diplomat. As such she has to play a different game than the one we arm chair quarter backs play on the net and letter to the editor pages.

To question her conservative credentials based on what her statements and actions are as SOS is a fool hardy exercise.

As to anything about referring to Islam as a religion of peace, go back to school and learn about tact and tactics. Bush’s team knows there is no support for a much broader War on Terror right now, and despite many positions to the contrary we are not at war with the entire Muslim world, just perhaps a large part of it. Indeed many such nations are valued partners in the WOT, think Jordan’s aid on al-Zarqawi. You don't ask for help by calling the person you are approaching a murdering radical.

Diplomacy is not well practiced by fools, and true conservatives know that.

And Newt should know better if he indeed is saying this...

For years, it has been common knowledge that State is populated by alot of silly lefty types. It's no secret, and no Secretary of State, or President has solved the problem by firing the lot of them. A Secretary of State is a temporary employee, and Presidents to date have not had the stones to do what needs to be done.

Clean the place out if you want a change. Appoint a Secretary of State whose first action is to demand a resignation of every employee, union or not. Fire the whole bunch of them and re-hire those that deserve employment.

Think that will happen, think again.

LOL red meat conservative; you've been a Freeper for 20 whole days and you're the brain child of the Conservative Cause.

Let me tell you something Bozo; Condi Rice is one of the most intelligent and capable people in the Bush Administration. She is the most powerful and respected woman in the world.

As for Newt wanting her kicked out of the State Department: While Newt was whoring around on his first wife who had cancer, she was making a name for herself, honorably, by hard work and dedication; not as some sleazy politician who couldn't even win his own party's primary for reelection in his home district.

Neither you nor Newt Gingrich would make a decent scab on Condoleezza Rice's a**.

She's just advocating the same policy pushed by the President himself - which predates her coming to the position. This is nonsense.

Rice fails everywhere.

Her advice to the President has been disastrous.

She is the Harriet Miers appointee to State. With apologies to Miers because we don't know that Miers would have been incompetent. With Rice there is now no question.

When her supporters stoop to compare her to Albright and others failures, you know they have lost.

We don't need to compare Bolton to others. We see daily that he is superstar in his league. Rice is out of hers.

Keep Condi, dump Bush. He is responsible if things are not what he wanted, and he is the one to change things, therefor if something is awry, dump Bush and get Condi a better adviser. IMHO people don't like the idea that a lot of America would back a Black Female for President. I would.

As far as Newt goes I understand he has sold out on the latest immigration "compromise" as if Americans are all stupid.

Condoleeza Rice is doing exactly what the President wants her to do, or he'd sack her. They BOTH want a Palestinian State, existing in peace with Israel. If they advocate for this, then the Palestinians show that they are incompetent to handle it, it will prove to the world that they don't deserve a state. By blocking their efforts to get a state, we're just delaying the inevitable and making folks think we're just being recalcitrant for the heck of it.

Who in the world would care what Newt Gingrich has to say? He's a loser in every sense of the word. Whatever Newt says, just do the opposite and you'll probably be ok, lol.

Even before I reached his name, I was thinking ... James Baker.

IIRC, he actually helped in an advisory role during the early stages of the current WOT, and/or during one of GWB's campaigns.

A major problem, critics said, is Miss Rice's ignorance of the Middle East. They said the secretary relies completely on Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns, who is largely regarded as the architect of U.S. foreign policy. Miss Rice also consults regularly with her supporters on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Chairman Richard Lugar and the No. 2 Republican, Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska.

If this is true, especially the Lugar and Hagel part, well gag me.

Besides, we need a MAN to send to the ME.
