I was waiting for someone to point that out. It is a memo from Val suggesting Joe be sent because of his experience and contacts in the area. No one disputes she wrote it.
These people are living in a complete and utter delusion.
I am proud to have lived in NC all my life and to have benefited from our very fine educational system, but I must admit that Erwin is a definite blight on an otherwise outstanding Duke University.
Liars...
So it was just coincidence?
Somehow, that just doesn't ring true.
The joke is that ANYBODY outted Valerie Plame... Valerie knows it, Wilson knows it, everybody that knows either of them knows it.. only strangers don't know it.. Most people know an idiot like Joe(wilson)... 45 going on 14 years old..
A Hitchens quote:
"This means that both pillars of the biggest scandal-mongering effort yet mounted by the "anti-war" movementthe twin allegations of a false story exposed by Wilson and then of a state-run vendetta undertaken against him and the lady wife who dispatched him on the missionare in irretrievable ruins. The truth is the exact polar opposite."
Responding to inquiries from Cheneys office, the State Department, and the Defense Department, the CIAs Directorate of Operations Counterproliferation Division (CPD) look for more information. They consider having Wilson return to Niger to investigate. In the process, Valerie Wilson writes a memo to a superior saying, My husband has good relations with both the PM [prime minister] and the former Minister of Mines (not to mention lots of French contacts), both of whom could possibly shed light on this sort of activity. One of Valerie Wilsons colleagues later tells Senate investigators she offered up his name for the trip. Wilson says that her agency made the decision and she only later approached her husband on the CIAs behalf. (Senate Intelligence Cmte., Iraq 39, July 2004).
She could be in trouble.
This case is not getting the kind of attention they'd hoped for. LOL...all are watching the Israeli conflict...they both are so far off the national screen, it's just too funny.
""Her assertion conflicts with a conclusion reached by Republicans on the Senate Intelligence Committee. In a 2004 report, Republicans on the committee wrote that""
Shoddy journalism. Those words come from the bipartisan part of the report.
The reason that Valerie has to deny sending Joe is that Joe said he was sent there by VP Cheney--remember?
Thanks for the 'rita! mmmmmm...
Ah, so it all depends on the meaning of "send."
Exactly! Their delusion is that we are too stupid to know the truth about Valerie's complicity in the Niger trip.
Right. But aren't you sick of hearing about this bimbo and her jerk?
Thanks for the ping, howlin. I continue to follow this fiasco in the hopes that the Wilsons get what is coming to them.
Plame is a liar.
She vehemently denies that she had anything to do with suggesting Joseph Wilson do this, says Erwin Chemerinsky, the Duke University law professor who is representing the Wilsons
Notice the subtle difference - - the scumbag lawyer says Plame had nothing to do with "suggesting Joseph Wilson" go to Niger, and Byron York (perhaps understandably) turns that into "no role in sending.... Joseph Wilson" to Niger.
Plame and her lawyer are playing word games.
I think that a rogue (or not so rogue) anti-Bush cabal at State hatched the Wilson-to-Niger scheme and then back-channeled it to their anti-Bush counterparts at CIA. It was Wilson who approached his wife, not the other way around. That is, Wilson "suggested" himself for the job and used his wife to set it up.
See? Plame didn't suggest her husband for the job - - just like her lawyer says she didn't.
But that's a lot different than "no role in sending" him.
"It would be sweet payback if Joe Wilson or Valerie Plame ended up being the ones going to jail for perjury, instead of Scooter."
I second that e-mo-tion!
"Let's face it. Clowny and Slutty know they have no chance to win this ridiculously thin lawsuit using misrepresentations about Fitzgerald's findings as its basis. "
This is why we need a LOSER PAYS system in our courts. File a frivolous lawsuit and you lose, you pay attorneys' fees for everyone, court costs, etc.
