Sure, sh#! happens, but President Bush should stop making it happen.
The Times-Herald Record ^ | 7/24/2006 | Beth Quinn

Posted on 07/24/2006 5:43:27 AM PDT by MisterI

Last week, during the brouhaha over Bush saying "sh--" in front of an open mic, I confess I was strangely pleased that the guy swears now and then.

He was talking to Tony ("Yo Blair") at the G-8 summit in St. Petersburg, and they were discussing the only news of the day that mattered - Israel and Hezbollah and that whole mess. Neither man knew that an open mic was capturing their conversation...

You can tell a lot about a person from his table manners.

Hahaha, you can tell a lot about a person from the nits they decide to pick. This has to be the most childish rant I've read since...well childhood. Doesn't Beth Quinn have a cheerleader meeting she's late for?

The Ruskies were taping everything during the G8 meetings in St. Petersburg... and Bush... along with every other member KNEW they were taping.

Beth is blowing smoke-rings from her pie-hole again.

So he swore, big deal. As I recall, John Kerry dropped a few "F-bombs" in his interview with Rolling SToned, and some other scribe. He was trying to "appeal to the working class" I believe his Campaign Manager said. hence, the nickname "John Effin' Kerry".

There are few situations in life more amusing that when a person lacking any concept of civil behavior goes on a rant about other people's behavior.

In this particular circumstance, it's even more funny:  Beth seems to think she's a good writer, too.

Bush says "sh!| and he's a villain, Teddy leaves a girl dead in his car at the bottom of a river, and he's a hero.

I'm not ashamed to say that Democrats have got me really confused.

All right, I'll say it. When I saw the clip I thought nothing of the "s" word he used but I was fairly appalled that he was talking while chewing with a mouth full of bread. GROSS!! I was taught that you chew with your mouth closed and you NEVER, EVER talk with a mouth full of food. It's just common courtesy.

And then the backrub thing was pretty creepy as well, even if he and the chancellor had hit it off well. We would have been so all over Clinton if he had done that (in anticipation of the apologists -- citing the fact that Clinton did worse does not excuse Bush).

..but it was totally okay for Kerry to intentionally say "#&@! Bush!" to reporters.

Uh huh.

Merkel's reaction sure was. I make it a point not to lay my hands on anyone unless I mean... business.

Sometimes I suspect that these little "accidents" aren't as accidental as the seem. This isn't the first time GWB has had an "open mike accident". Remember Adam Clymer?

And when it happens, we all get a big kick out of it, because Bush manages to badmouth somebody who needs badmouthing, in spite of the usual diplomatic niceties he's usually forced to use.

Unlike Beth Quinn, I celebrate the language of our President because it shows that he has locker room relationships with world leaders.

I also applaud his use of the word "asshole" when Dubyah spoke about whether G8 members wanted to side with assholes or support the civilized world.

Getting a glimpse into the private correspondence between world leaders, brings with it a necessity for courage and equanimity. You were not suposed to hear that conversation, and now that you have, you want to go all holier than thou and say: Bad boy, don't talk that way, and also you shoould wash your own underwear everyday, and stop picking your nose in private?

Buahahahahahah!

Dubyah is a plain spoken American, who can tell it like it is, and I can assure you that his candid comments, privately made, have endeared him further with the American public, except for the panty wastes among us, the same folk who brought us Prohibition.

BTW Dubyah's language is a lot more acceptable in private than the pronouncements of BJ Clinton in public, so its laughable to see Democrat wannabe Aristocrats try to make political hay out of Presidential straight talk.

I actually read the entire article waiting for the punch line. From the comments here, I assume that this tripe was meant to be a serious article. What a waste of my time.

"I make it a point not to lay my hands on anyone unless I mean... business."

Several very good friends of mine are female and while we share mutual hugs sometimes, I would NEVER just walk up behind them and start rubbing their shoulders. And to do it in a forum like that...!!! Weird.
