DUBYA'S REAL DOO-ZY

July 18, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - President Bush yesterday vented his frustration with the surging violence in the Mideast during a private chat with British Prime Minister Tony Blair that was picked up by an open microphone - insisting Syria should get Hezbollah to "stop doing this shit."

It hit the fan during a luncheon photo op at the Group of 8 diplomatic summit in Russia as Bush and Blair candidly plotted strategy to halt the attacks.

"I think Condi [Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice] is going to go [to the war zone] pretty soon," Bush said.

"It will take some time to get that together," Blair said. "Obviously, if she goes out, she's got to succeed as it were, whereas I can just go out and talk."

Bush replied, "See, the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's over."

The president was adamant in placing the blame for the violence exclusively on Hezbollah.

We don't need talk right now. We need the Israelis to be allowed to finish the job.

I wonder if the President knew he was miked......

Hey Tony my suggestion is at the next press briefing you come out with this little gift the FReepers sent you and let them know the President put in his quarter.

If Mr. Bush walked on water and fed a stadium of people with two fish the media and libs would still excoriate him.
Screw them, it's good to hear President Bush speak real and plain.

I'm glad he said that word instead of "doo-doo" like his father.

OMG!!! He actually said the "S" word? Heaven's to Betsy, I thought he was only getting hummers in the Oval Office while classified information was being discussed... But, to say the "S" word, the man needs a whipping! /obvious sarcasm... Good Lord...

My best friend and I were saying how much we love our President yesterday. I know it is silly, but I find it endearing how he said it with a mouth full of food. I hope my husband is as cute as W is when he turns 60.

He swore. Big deal. I have had occasion to read many of the letters JFK wrote to friends, especially Lem Billings, over his lifetime. You never saw such purple prose!

I agree. The press was describing it as "cursing"...it's not a curse, it's a "crude" word, perhaps a vulgarity, but nothing that would truly offend, IMHO.

I am flabergasted. I had no idea that people in office used such language. I am sure that the Dems and press's indignation is quite genuine.

Perhaps if W had been getting a hummer while on the phone with Blair when he said it, no one would have cared. Or maybe screaming at a Secret Service agent. Or shouting at a Jewish campaign staff member.

"doo-doo"

Brings to mind the joke about Bryn Mawr girls saying "Oh sh*t! I stepped in doggy-doo!"

The press doesn't know the difference between cursing and cussing.

My father had the curious attitude toward cussing that one shouldn't do it--usually--because cussing too often destroys the rhetorical effectiveness of vulgarity, making cussing useless when you really need to cuss.

"If Mr. Bush walked on water"

If he did the headline would read:

"President Can't Swim"
