Yes, it would have been great to have Mac as our governor. One of the few voices of sanity left in Sacramento and the legislature. The rest are low-quality, tax-and-spend socialists which puts Mac at a hard disadvantage.
I am old enough to recall the prime days of California when it was a conservative state, and the model for the nation politically, economically, demographically, educationally, etc. Now, well, we know where it lies today -- in complete ruin from the liberal "Midas" touch.
I still hope Mac can get a hold on this state. But maybe like the sign says.....

Tom is not just one of the better Republicans, he is about the only one who continues to stand for conservative principles.
I noticed you forgot to ping your McClintock ping list.
I think people on that ping list would appreciate knowing about Tom's "Big 50" birthday and some of them may want to express their good wishes. The Big 50 is quite a milestone and maybe this will be a lucky year for Tom.
