Update on the Monday, July 10, Protest Across from the New York Times
July 7, 2006 | firebrand

Posted on 07/07/2006 10:57:26 AM PDT by firebrand

Place: 229 West 43rd Street, New York City (between 7th and 8th Avenues)

Date: Monday, July 10, 2006

Time: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Goal: To show the New York Times that America has had enough of their irresponsible reporting of classified information that damages our country and helps our enemies!

Momentum for our Monday protest is building. We have more and more groups joining on, and some excellent speakers scheduled.

WHY WE ASK YOU TO JOIN US IN FRONT OF THE NEW YORK TIMES HEADQUARTERS ON JULY 10TH:

The New York Times has published national security secrets and hurt America in the War on Terror, aiding, it appears, the enemy in a time of war.

Arthur Sulzberger, Jr., as well as his editors and journalists have put us and our children at risk for future terrorist attack.

It is up to us to stand up, indeed, fight back now before the biased and reckless Times divulges even more secrets.

Protesters who will be joining us in front of the paper's world headquarters are all firm believers in freedom of the press, and charge that the Times is disingenuously attempting to hide behind principles of “freedom of the press” and “the public’s right to know” while jeopardizing national security, and the safety and lives of the public.

The rally organizers support the call by Congressman Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, for the Bush administration to seek criminal charges against The New York Times for publishing articles on a secret financial-monitoring program used to track down terrorists.

“I am asking the Attorney General to begin an investigation and prosecution of The New York Times -- the reporters, the editors and the publisher," stated Congressman King, of New York. "We're at war, and for the Times to release information about secret operations and methods is treasonous."

Here's what we did at the NYT protest in DC last week.

Believe me, the press will take this very seriously. Be sure to turn out if you possibly can.

Can you run this ad?

"If you subscribe to or advertise in the New York Times you are supporting an anti-American pro terrorist organization. The Terrorist supporters at the New York Times are helping to kill our military and placing the American People in mortal danger by their traitorous help and support of the terrorist enemy."

Thanks

Sean Hannity is on from 3-6 and Mark Levin is on WABC from 6-8 here...is there any chance of getting either of them live?

I normally use the slogan:

The New York Slimes:
All the slant that's slant to slant

But I like yours better. Consider it done!
