Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the low-key co-founders of Google Inc., set tongues wagging last year when they bought a used Boeing 767 widebody as an unusually large private jet. The 767-200 typically carries 180 passengers and is three times as heavy as a conventional executive plane.
Brin and Page "had some strange requests," including hammocks hung from the ceiling of the plane. At one point he witnessed a dispute between them over whether Mr. Brin should have a "California king" size bed
Larry, you can have whatever kind of bed you want in your bedroom. Let's move on." Mr. Jennings says Mr. Schmidt at another point told him, "It's a party airplane."

Here's a story you'll find surprising. Two lefty billionaires creating their own "party plane" while they do almost everything they can to destroy the country that gave it to them.

You can hope, but then, let me ask this, if we dont use Google, what works better? Yahoo and Altavista seem to be just as bad.

As for hammocks hanging from the ceiling - I always held that these are the most important part of office furniture and need to be far more widely introduced.

When you have that much money, you can't buy yourself enough stuff to make you happy.

Did you steal that idea from Homer Simpson, or vice versa?

If I had that much money, I could do far better than a used 767. Use your imagination guys. Maybe get one of these.

Most search engines are powered by google including Yahoo and I am pretty sure Altavista

I use clusty.com and dogpile.com. Both are about the same as google as they pull results from google search.
I stopped using google when their news section was as leftist as one could get, and they started getting politically involved with their search engine.

This article should be titled "How to Piss Off Your Hard-Working Employees." I don't begrudge the wealthy spending their money as they like, but for an exec to flaunt his incredible wealth in the face of his employees is simply bad business. It shows immense immaturity, poor judgement and a lack of wisdom. Why create resentment when you don't have to? Or as Remington's former CEO responded to those who asked why he only flew coach, "the back of the plane gets there just as fast as the front."

I have held that idea for about 40 years by now, and there must be others on whom it could have dawned before me. Not wishing to start a squabble about priority, I claim independent discovery.

I like Clusty but they still do not have a sort by date/time ability. I find that rather important when looking for new articles.
