I've said for some time that the only chance the Dems have in November is to do a Gingrich and come up with a Contract With America. I figured it's safe to say so because I knew perfectly well that if they did it'd be this bunch of vague pablum instead of specific points. Lower gas prices? How? Prevent the privatization of Social Security? How? Provide affordable healthcare? How? Lower the cost of college? How? And the big one, IMHO, restoring fiscal responsibility - you can either do this by cutting spending or raising taxes or both. So which is it going to be?
If they can't answer these questions then they don't have programs, they have talking points. There's a big, big difference.
Its funny how the Democrats rail at supposed Republican incompetence. Here they can't even pass a budget in New Jersey, where their party has unified control of both elected branches of the state government. What's their excuse for incompetence there?
(The Palestinian terrorist regime is the crisis and Israel's fist is the answer.)
