WASHINGTON, June 25 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Following is the Republican National Committee (RNC) Response to Sen. Russ Feingold's Appearance on NBC's Meet The Press:

"Russ Feingold's brazen effort to mischaracterize the words of our military's leaders reflects a commitment that is long on campaign politics and short on national security. A strategy of cut and run in the central front of the War on Terror amounts to a surrender to our enemy. It should not be a surprise that the same man who wanted to censure the President for working to protect Americans, now thinks it is wise to tip our hand to the terrorists." - Tracey Schmitt, RNC Press Secretary

SEN. RUSS FEINGOLD (D-WI): SEN. "CUT AND RUN"

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI) Falsely Accuses Army Gen. George Casey Of Supporting Kerry-Feingold "Cut And Run" Plan:

Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI): "Not only does it make sense, but it sort of shows that all this talk about a timetable being unreasonable or ridiculous is just wrong. Even General Casey is talking about how realistic it is to bring the troops home. And our timetable that we proposed last week had to do with bringing the troops home within one year. I mean, how is this different?" (NBC's "Meet The Press," 6/25/06)

Army Gen. George Casey: "I'm confident that we'll be able to continue to take reductions over the course of this year." ("U.S. Forces In Iraq To Shrink, Casey Says," United Press International, 6/23/06)

-- "But Casey Added He Had Made No Final Decision On Troop Withdrawals. He Said He First Wanted To Discuss The Security Situation With Iraq's Recently Named Defense And Interior Ministers."

I liked when asked by Russert about how only 13 democrats voted for this, he said something to the effect that the democrats are the American people, and in the next breath said the democrats who voted against it are out of touch with the wishes of the American people.

One look at the supporters of the 'date certain' withdrawl evokes heavy laughter.

I liked when Feingold admitted there were chemical and biological weapons in Iraq after he accused the Admin of invading Iraq under "false pretenses"

I'd like Russ Feingold to ask Harry S. Truman when the timetable is going to be for our withdrawal from Japan and Korea.

I can't wait till he loses his seat.........

He's probably (altho I don't know) not very vulnerable; the rule of thumb seems to be "The safer the seat, the bigger the mouth", such as with Barbara Boxer - who's got her spot for life if she wants it.

The safer the seat, the bigger the mouth.

That's bad news for Irey, then. Murtha can't contain himself. I'm hoping he's an exception to the phrase.

The 12 Pennsylvania district is NOT Calyforniya. The only reason Murtha has survived this long is he WAS perceived as pro-military, anti-abortion, pro-family etc. Now everyone knows he is nuts.

All in all, Russert was worthless and weak (atleast the part I saw). Why didn't he nail Feingold when he claimed that Casey was advocating a timed pull-out?

Any idiot knows that Casey plans to let events dictate troop levels.

He made that very clear once again Friday at the Pentagon.

Feingold totally misrepresented Casey. TR sat there like a dufous and let it go on.

Mr. Feingold ... with all due respect ... the difference is that General Casey talks about bringing the troops home when events on the ground permit same and you want to set a timetable for withdrawal regardless of what is happening on the ground. Your inability to understand this is truly sad.

That phrase has the unique role of being redundant at the same time it is a foregone conclusion.

Unfortunately, Feingold easily won re-election 2 years ago. We're stuck with him until the end of the decade.

One of the few times I've seen the Russ-O-Lantern get remotely tough was when he asked Hillary about her "vast right wing conspiracy" comment during her debate with Lazio.

Typical .. as soon as I heard that there actually were plans to start brining the troops home next year, I knew the dems would say - the admin is finally taking their advice - "so what's the difference" meaning - why say the dems are cutting and running when plans are being made to bring the troops home anyway.

The difference is - THE GENERALS KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT COURSE TO TAKE THAN ALLOWING THE DEMS IN CONGRESS TO MAKE THAT DECISION. And .. Bush has said all along that it would be the generals who would make that decision and not politicians (disgruntled democrats).

And .. the other difference is .. I believe some of those democrat members of the Armed Services Committee were apprised of this troop movement information - AND AGAIN - the democrats have used their positions of authority to USE THE CLASSIFIED INFO ON TROOP MOVEMENTS to try to discredit this President. The dems are traitors - one and all.

This is exactly what happened in Vietnam. Even Frontline did a good job of exposing Johnson's and McNamara's tiring of the war and wanting it over (cutting and running), and the democrat House and Senate VOTED TO CUT THE FUNDING FOR THE WAR - knowing Johnson would not veto it.

The dems are doing the same thing again. The war has been a resounding success - and so in order to make Bush look bad, they want to pull the troops out and hope the govt of Iraq collapses and then the dems can discredit the repubs for the whole idea of ever wanting to go there. Of course, this needs to happen right before the election - so it will give the dems points they think they can win on in the next 2 elections.

It's obvious Feingold is trying to sew up the rabid moonbat elements of the Democrat Party. They will determine the Presidential candidate in 2008.

He's running, folks. Get out the popcorn!

They should call the show "Meet the Democrats" and they should put on blue cheerleader uniforms with a big "D" on the front.

I cannot believe how incredibly stupid FEINGOLD is. I mean rock-hard stupid. Dehydrated-rock-hard stupid. Stupid so stupid that it goes way beyond the stupid we know into a whole different dimension of stupid. FEINGOLD is trans-stupid stupid. Meta-stupid. Stupid collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Stupid gotten so dense that no intellect can escape. Singularity stupid. Blazing hot mid-day sun on Mercury stupid. FEINGOLD emits more stupid in one second than our entire galaxy emits in a year. Quasar stupid. Nothing in our universe can really be this stupid until now. Perhaps this is some primordial fragment from the original big bang of stupid. Some pure essence of a stupid so uncontaminated by anything else as to be beyond the laws of physics that we know. I'm sorry. I can't go on. This is an epiphany of stupid for me. I don't have enough strength left to deride FEINGOLD's ignorant statements and half baked comments or any of the rest of this drivel.

Time Table for Troop withdrawal.

Al Qaeda Desert Dialogue:

Wajid: "Ahmed, I read that the infidels will leave Iraq on the 31st of October, 2006, in order to have an election which will put their weak kneed Liberals in power."

Ahmed: "Yes O magnificent Wajid, the Fies will all leave at the same time like simpering women at the hands of their great Satan government, which we have convinced of our noble cause. We do not fight them now, we want them to think they have won."

Wajid: "O pacifier of my mother's sister, who is that kafir cow who has been calling you every night on your European Secure Satphone?"

Ahmed: "It is some Satanic cow, who keeps prostrating herself , asking me to water her copious thighs after the Infidel-Crusaders leave our Holy Land; she asks me in the name of Allah to attend her, and to plunge my manhood into every orifice of her corpulent body, at a peace conference at an infidel American place called,Camp David, Inshallah."

Wajid: "Oh immaculate conqueror of my cousins goats, Ahmed, how do you expect to fulfill such a request , Inshallah, and what is the name of this infidel cow?"

Ahmed: " I am to meet her aircraft at the Holy Bagdad International Airport, to be whisked away under a flag of peace to the carpets of her tent, where among many houris I am to begin my task and labor of conquering this cow. She calls herself, 'It takes a Village' and jokes with me in a foul and titillating manner that she is the president elect of the Great Satan. Obviously there are no men that can satisfy her in the Land of the Great Satan if she whispers, cow that she is, that her name is," It Takes a Village."

Wajid: " Oh Ahmed, have mercy even upon such an infidel cow as this; You, who are the conqueror of 100 she goats in one day, will have this "It takes a Village" screaming like a Muezzin from a minaret! You may cause an international incident!"

Ahmed: "Oh magnanimous milker of toads, do you not see that 'It Takes a Village' has been informed of my great prowess long ago , as this infidel cow and I , the great goat herder as you say, have conspired to have the Infidel Crusader armies leave Iraq for these past 5 years?"

Wajid: "O Wondrous Ahmed, who has pacified all my sisters and their cousins, why is this infidel cow to be trusted in the name of the one prophet?"

Ahmed: " The lying infidel cow 'It takes A Village' has informed me this morning, that the great Satanic government of the United States is now under her control, and whats more, that her eventual possible meeting with me, great pacifier of all your sisters , and their cousins, was the reason she wanted to run for the office of the infidel presidency.

Wajid: Oh , by the beard of the one prophet, Ahmed, I think after your visit she will change her name from 'It takes a Village' to , 'It takes an Ahmed!'

Ahmed: "Inshallah, Wajid, Inshallah!, but she made me promise not to speak the words, 'Early Withdrawal!'
