Don't bet on it.
He has been pushing it since January 20, 2001.
He will continue to push for it until January 20, 2009.

Yep. And since the news about the
DNC passing the NRC in donation $$$,
I'm feeling kind of guilty about
telling them I wouldn't give one
more dime until they kill that
Amnesty Bill. If it's dead,
maybe I send off my contribution
now.

A couple of months ago, some reports were circulating that GW and the Dems (remember when they had that secret meeting -- without the anti-illegals Pubbies) have an agreement:
If the amnesty (whatever they call it) bill passes, all is good.
If the amnesty (whatever they call it) bill fails, they will just issue massive numbers of green cards, thus making those illegals legal by default.
Since it has stalled, we have 'status quo'. So not much has changed, catch and release is still going on, massive numbers of illegals are still flooding in. It is still a shellgame.

No way it's dead. They will try and sneak it into a much larger bill, late at night. Rino's, dim's, and W are teamed up on this one.

Please, if you don't donate to the RNC, send some money directly to a pro-enforcement Rep in a tight race.
Take a look at this and you'll see why we can't afford a Dem victory in November.

The issue is the current administration's failure to secure our borders, as shown by the cartoonist's depiction of the president ridiing a (long dead) bull, and the stock OBL warning is, "Hey, if we don't support Republicans, those darned Democrats will take over!"(And fail to secure our borders?)"

Maybe it's for show, but it seems like there is more enforcement, more busts happening now. The number of aliens crossing is down. It's still pretty high, but it's down. Not totally status quo.

WTOV ^ | 6/21/06 | Mikey_1962 Local police said they intercepted 20 illegal Mexican immigrants, but were ordered by immigration officials to let them go free. Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson said his officers were instructed by federal immigration services to let all 20 illegal immigrants go free, and said his department has no choice but to follow the orders from immigration officials. Thompson said officers stopped a van at 3 a.m. Tuesday which was traveling the wrong direction on Interstate 470 in St. Clairsville. The officer discovered 20 illegal Mexican immigrants inside the van, including three who were previously deported. The officer immediately contacted immigration...

You can bet your ass the dems will fail to secure our borders. You can also bet that they will screw up the WOT beyond recognition. Did you know that "speaker" Pelosi has decided that Alcee "Impeacehd for bribery, perjury and wiretap leaks" Hastings should be chair of the House Intel committee?
People who are going to punish the House for the stupidity exhibited by the President and the Senate on this issue are first class morons. If you want to make a party more conservative, you support the conservatives with your votes. Punishing everyone with an R after their name and handing the Congress to the Fifth Column is a game for children.
