Oh, don't misunderstand me. I am solidly against Jennie. Won't vote for her. Just have to do more research on DeVos...but if he's the only game in town, I'll vote for him.
I wonder, will they dim the lights on the Ambassador Bridge when Jennie, tail tucked firmly between her legs, finally goes home to Canada? LOL!

Yeah, but it's gonna be tough to beat the voter fraud in Detroit and Flint. Thousands of dead will be voting in November, all for Granholm. Not that the MSM or authorities would notice. It's only voter fraud if it benefits a Republican.

In the latest poll,... gave Granholm a 58 percent negative rating
That's usually fatal unless the opponent is just a complete boob.

DeVos doesn't seem to be composed of mammary tissue so far. I've seen a few of his TV ads and been impressed, and he's got some momentum in the legislature for eliminating the single business tax. If the state house can force Jenny to veto a repeal, it'll definitely work to Dick's advantage.

Poll: Michigan governor's race is closeWhen the headline didn't mention who was leading, I knew right away that the GOP candidate was in front. Sure enough...

A attorney friend in Michigan had the following take on this poll:
"I think she (Granholm) is in real trouble. The Michigan economy is not good. DeVos has run one of the most effective television ad campaigns I have seen. He has been running ads for three months and she had her first ad last week, a very lame ad blaming Bush for all Michigan's woes. Last time she saved all her money til the end of the campaign and overwhelmed a very under funded republican candidate. That won't work this time not with the money and backing DeVos has. The political people have taken to calling her sleeping beauty because she is doing nothing to counter the DeVos ads. The only misstep DeVos has made is one of his aides was asked if he would continue her policy of lowering flags for a day in honor of each Michigan soldier who dies in Iraq, and the idiot said no flags would only be lowered when the feds proclaim it. But it was quickly retracted and didn't do too much damage."

Polls usually don't mean jack in Michigan. All that matters is whether or not people in Wayne County pull the trigger for the Democrat, or stay home.
The rest of the state is pretty much Republican.
In 2004, Kerry won with 51.2% of the vote (Bush had 47.81%).
Take out Wayne County, and Bush wins 51.64% to 47.20% for Kerry. Wayne County is effectively a 6 point swing for the Dems.

Granholm campaign spokesman Chris De WittWhat would you expect Jenny's spinmeister to say, "Michigan is the only state in the toilet, and it's all Gandholm's fault"?

Michigan's economy is really hurting and Granholm has never put forth a plan. Unemployment is currently at about seven and a half percent. People are fleeing the state. When you think about it, that's one way to lower Michigan's unemployment...

DeVos is an unknown who inherited all of his wealth from the Amway fortune; yet most I know want a change.DeVos is scum. Please visit Merchants of Deception and see how the DeVos family has stood by and done nothing while elements of the Amway organizations have ruined thousands of families.

Sounds like you think more Jennie is a good idea for 10,000,000 of us?I don't follow Michigan politics much, but I can almost assure you that Granholm has more moral character than that scumbag DeVos. I encourage you to read the link I provided. The DeVos family is a criminal empire.

I missed the convictions in the news of this criminal empire you speak of.
Anyway, I'm not going to defend him as he is a political unknown, but to suggest that Granholm has any 'moral character' renders any political prism irrelevant in this instance.
MI has the worst economy of any state in the nation, Jennifer vetoes any and all pro-business measures, raises taxes across the board - they call them "fees" as they're not taxes you know.
Granny has substantially contributed to the economic cancer here, as she is a bona-fide, Canadian born, east coast educated socialist. She has (with various local union powers) done more to make this place look like New Jersey than desired. I'll suggest this purple electorate is going to veto that trend even if it means going with a newbie.
If you didn't know, DeVos' wife is the former head of the MI GOP. I've personally seen her introduce The President Of The United States on several occasions on the campaign trail.

Please don't get me wrong. Grnaholm's politics are horrible. I'm simply saying that as human beings, the DeVos family are absolute scum. They have destroyed thousands of families by perverting the Bible to benefit their Amway cult. Did you read the link I posted earlier in the thread?
Also, I'm not trying to shill for Granholm here. You're in a situation where you have two horrible candidates. You guys blew it in the primaries.

Amway fortune
I always heard that was a cult. Are they still around. My friend told me that they forced all kinds of weird stuff on him. He said if you ever hear Amway run the other way. I always remember that, but have never came across any of the weirdos. Do you guys know about this company?
