I made fun of them to their face for over a year before I got "tombstoned". I think when I said abortion is murder, they got a clue. It is a sick, vile place.
That's a pretty low-brow forum. I think it used to be fairly popular among the idle, angry, activist left a few years ago but it's become little more than a curiosity. I pop in from time to time to laugh at whoever is still there when something cool happens like Fitz saying he won't indict Rove.
I went on Kos once and started asking - very politely - about the evidence the had regarding Rove and the Plame case. I lasted less than 30 minutes...
I get miffed when FReepers just post excerpted crap from that site. I think we need some kind of Purple Heart for such adventures...

Then I read some Ayn Rand and asked my English professors why we never read her. They said she wasn't really representative of any important cultural developments (anti-communism apparently being both a looming menace of McCarthyist oppression and a neglible blip on the radar screen at the same time.)
Then 9/11 came and our professors gathered us all together in the Student Center to tell us why we deserved it (Israel, Kyoto, Pinochet, Vietnam, slavery, capitalism, etc.)
And that just did it. I was done with those idiots.

I remember a thread Jim started last year about DU. He said "Whats the big deal? If you go to DU and state a conservative position, they will zot you. You can expect it. We do the same to them here".
I was on for about a year. I did like others here, I would try to srgue a bit of common sense. Communists are tolerated there, but not me.
Anyhow, my downfall came, when a couple of atheists were disssing Christians, and denying they were bigots at the same time. The hatred for anyone of faith was dramatic.
So I posted a joke:

I was banned in less that 30 min for stating (quite correctly) that McDonalds was NOT a "Limited Liability Company" (LLC).
The DUmmies were in an anti-fastfood frensy, and explaining that all corporations are designed to limit the liability of investors, and that the LLC model was set up for smaller business entities must have just been to sane for he moderators.
The second time I joined I used the name "Wi11 Pitt" (the number "1" substituted for the lowercase letter "L"). I had a LOT of fun talking about how my co-author (Scott Ritter) was a pedophile and how I accidently found kiddie porn under his bed etc and how pedophilia wasn't so bad and was thinking of joining NAMBLA ...
I lasted four hours until Wee Willie Pitt signed on and exposed me.
