I am asking for prayers for my best friend, Rick. Rick is a special person.
He served 3 tours in Viet Nam, he said he hoped if he went then some married or family man might not have to and he was wounded more than once.
He wanted to go to Iraq even though he was no longer in the military, so he signed on with a contract trucking company. He had only been there about a year. The risks were high, the danger great, they suffered many losses of drivers and trucks, but he loved the job he was doing. They pushed hard with long hours and little sleep due to the losses. He supported the troops and the mission in every way he could.
Apparently what he was doing was high security because he couldn't tell us what they hauled, where all they went, or how long a run they'd be on.
Anyway, I got word that about 10 days ago he rolled his truck and has massive head injuries. After emergency surgery in Iraq, then moved to Germany, he is now back in Texas in intensive care on life support and still in a comma, the doctors aren't giving his family and fiends much hope. He has 3 kids, two still in college and a new grandson he's never seen.
He loved life and believed in living it. He told me many times that he wanted to live his life at full speed, skidding up to the pearly gates yelling "Man, what a ride!"
If it's his maker's will that Rick has served his earthly purpose and it's time for him to go home, I asked for prayers for his soul and comfort for his family and friends. I know Rick wouldn't want to live if he couldn't "live". G*d's will be done.
Thank you
Prayers it is, Thanks for his service.
Prayers for Rick's recovery.
Prayers up.
Prayers.
Prayers for strength and an unexpectedly good outcome....
Lord be with Rick, be with his family and give them comfort. We ask that you give him strength. We know many people in a coma are sometimes aware of what is happening around them, we pray he has the presence of the Holy Spirit. We honor his service. In Jesus name we pray amen.
Prayers sent for Rick's quick and complete recovery.
And amen!
He served this nation in many ways. He deserves our thanks along with our prayers. God bless.
Prayers for Rick and his family. God bless.
Amen. Rick will be in my prayers.
Prayers for Rick and his family.....and THANKS to him and them for his service.
Good question - it's a Jewish thing, not to fully spell the name of God or Yahweh, based on a reading of a particular passage of the Old Testament, out of respect for God.
I pray that Rick believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that he will have the pleasure of knowing how his life has worked into God's eternal plan to reach others.
((prayers))
Thanks to Rick for his service to the nation.
Father, in the Holy Name of Jesus I ask You to heal this fine man. Return him to his family Lord in complete health with all thanksgiving and praise to you our Good Shepherd. Amen.
