American Idol star Chris Daughtry returned for a coming home celebration in McLeansville, North Carolina. On Saturday, June 3, he performed a few songs at the McLeansville shopping center and then with his band ABSENT ELEMENT at Jamieson Stadium in Greensboro.
But there is a part of the story that you probably didn't read. The show was hosted on stage by CLASSIC ROCK 92, an FM station in Greensboro.
Among the announcements made by the DJs was that they would be giving away tickets to the upcoming concert by the Dixie Chicks. When that announcement was made, there was substantial booing from the crowd. It was a pleasure to be there in person and hear it. Greensboro says no to fifth columnists.
I swear this day has been one for the books. Great News, now only if the Mavs would GO TO THE HOOP! Go Mavs!
Gee, they're giving away tickets and the announcement was boo'd..I'm going to run to CNN and wait for them to have this story on the air..how long do you think I should wait??
Amen on the Mavs, but they have their work cut out for them. As far as the chix are concerned, PI$$ on them..

The Mavs SHOULD win because they were the last remaining team to have the widsom to have a player from the University of Arizona (former All American Jason Terry). Most of the teams in the last 15 years who have won the Title have had at least one (and sometimes two). On that basis alone, I'll have to say: Go Mavs.

Dilemma: If I won the tickets, would I say "no thanks" and walk away? Or would I accept them and not go to the concert so there would be extra empty seats? I don't know - decisions decisions.

I say...take the tickets and go. Hold up a Pro-Bush sign during the concert. Wear your Bush/Cheney shirt too. Maybe with all of that you can get air time then LET EM HAVE IT!!!!!
