Democrat Senator Harry Reid More Connected To Abramoff Than Anybody Else on Capitol Hill
5/29/06

Posted on 05/29/2006 5:49:49 PM PDT by ArmyBratproud

I am guessing that, by now, every Freeper has heard about Democrat Senator Harry Reid's decision to take free gifts in the form of high priced boxing tickets while considering boxing legislation.

BUT, the real story is further down in the articles that have been reporting it. After looking at the article on Fox News.com, it was easy to see that Harry Reid is more connected to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff than anyone else on Capitol Hill.

SENATOR REID'S FREIND, a former staffer and ABRAMOFF PARTNER/EMPLOYEE LOBBYIST, Edward Ayoop, hosted multiple fundraisers for Harry Reid. Including one at the Abramoff's firm!

Reid accepted the political funds at times when he wrote at least 4 letters on behalf of Abramoff clients.

MORE INFORMATION can be found about midway down the following article: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,197350,00.html

Senator Reid has been defending his actions. The same actions he has been accusing other of wrong doing with.

It is important to note, that of current Congressional Scandals where real evidence has been shown, the count shows 3 Democrats, including Senator Reid, and only 1 Republican, Duke Cunningham. The other two Democrats include the a House member who was the Democrat's lead on the ethic's committee, and, of course, Mr. Jefferson with his cajun freezer full of money.

In the past 15 years, 5 members of Congress have been convicted. 4 of those are Democrats.

Good thing he's a democrat. A person could get in real trouble for something like this.

Why am I not shocked that McCain is hanging out with Dirty Harry.

At least McCain had the sense to pay for his tickets.

A Nevada FReeper can correct me if I am mistaken, but for decades old Harry has openly funneled State and Federal program money through his family's law firms.

"Senator Reid has been defending his actions. The same actions he has been accusing others of wrong doing with. And .. in psychology speak this is called: PROJECTION! It is how the democrats operate. When the dems start accusing the repubs of doing bad things, it's a sure bet they are really tattling on themselves.

They have learned well from the basic rules of communism, accuse your enemy of what you are doing!

Where is the FBI when they are really needed?

But the MSM won't pounce unless a direct Abramoff connection is made - and even then, they'll figure out some way that it was "different" than the Repub connections.

Reid is not up for reelection, but I understand Nevadans would vote him out if they had the chance. He's changed dramatically since getting his leadership position (Daschleization).
