Of course they oppose force against Iran's nuclear program. They are running the damn thing.

This is only because the Russians are still making money off of Iran for their program.

The moment that money well dries up, the Russians will drop them as fast as they possibly can.

If Russia is running Iran's nuclear program it's only a matter of time before it melts down. I believe France and Germany are the ones building Iran's nukes.

But what do I know?

Nope. It is a much deeper affinity, on the level "birds of feather flock together". In '79 they took the same position over the embassy hostages.

Different Russia.

Whether or not you believe it or not, Russia needs money now and fast.

Iran has that.

With the current oil and gas prices their need for money is somewhat less acute than "now and fast". And as for "different Russia" - heartfelt thanks for the best laugh of my day. Coca-Cola being sold in groceries does not make for a different country.

ok.

And if things REALLY heat up, as in, we are telling them that things will stop now, we are massing troops on their borders, Russia will walk away.

If you don't believe me, just look at what happened to Iraq.

Iran is killing our soldiers in Iraq with IED's. That blood is on Russia's hands.
