Stop The Border Bleeding (Protect Our Borders First; Stop Coddling The Gate Crashers Alert)

I guess it's time to restate the obvious.

President Bush still doesn't get it.

Or worse, he gets it and continues to deliberately deceive the American people.

We do not need nor desire a "comprehensive immigration reform plan" – at least as he envisions it.

Bush is trying to extort the American people by promising to protect the border with still inadequate measures only if we accept the illegal presence of 15 million aliens already here and many, many millions more in the future.

The American people must continue to reject this shakedown.

We cannot be held hostage by Bush's continuing irresponsible, reckless refusal to enforce the existing laws. He and his predecessors in the White House created this problem. He has no moral authority to tell us we must now live with the disasters he enabled or face even worse crises in the future.

The very survival of our nation is at stake.

That is, in essence, what he is trying to sell us. Just say no.

The only reason Bush has even reached the stage at which he is admitting it's time to stop the invasion of our country is because the political stakes have been raised. The American people are finally being heard in this election year. Bush is trying to avert disaster at the polls by spinning this issue once again.

If you find a neighbor bleeding, what do you do?

You do everything in your power to stop the bleeding. You don't first devise a comprehensive plan that will result in much more bleeding in the future.

It makes no sense, but that's what Bush is suggesting with his border and immigration plan.

We're years late in stopping the bleeding – the systematic invasion of our country that continues even today. Bush's plan to deal with that bleeding is still wholly inadequate, yet before he will implement even that, he insists we adopt his "comprehensive plan" that will actually result in much more bleeding in the future.

What do I mean?

His plan – or should we call it the U.S. Senate's plan – would permit up to 193 million new legal immigrants in the next 20 years. In effect, it's all a shell game. It's just legalizing the illegal to eliminate the problem.

We don't eliminate our murder problem in America by legalizing murder.

Nor should we pardon immigration law-breaking by retroactively changing the rules.

Bush is perfectly willing to change the character of this nation without a debate.

Bush is perfectly willing to risk the security of this nation by holding Americans hostage and continuing to refuse to enforce the laws of the land unless we pardon his own illegal actions of previous non-enforcement.

Bush is perfectly willing to malign those of us whose only offense is expecting the duly enacted laws of the land to be enforced.

It's time to end the charade.

We've got Washington's attention on this issue more than ever before. Officials are running scared and trying desperately to posture themselves as defenders of America.

Now is not the time to compromise, to roll over, to accept Bush's gesture, to fall for the Senate's fake-out.

Now is the time to stand strong – for principle, for the law, for the will of the people and for the security of the USA.

There must be no discussion of amnesty or pardons. There must be no discussion of accommodations with illegal aliens already here. There must be no "comprehensive plans" made that include anything less than full enforcement of the laws.

The reason we don't do those things is simply because they exacerbate the problem. Every time George Bush opens his mouth, more foreigners make plans to get in on the action here in the United States.

Stop the bleeding. Then we'll talk.

President Bush still DOESN'T get it. We need to stop the border bleeding. Stop coddling the gate crashers. Begin protecting our borders. It ain't rocket science, folks.

Bush is perfectly willing to change the character of this nation without a debate.

Increasing the rate of third-world population transfers to this nation by 5 to 10 fold is insane.

Yet these "leader" not only want to do this, but they want to rush this irrevocable nation-changing plan through before Memorial day.

Call Congress today. Don't let it be "1776-2006".

This is the same crap that we got in 1986, we are still waiting for the enforcement promised then.

Now we are being told we have to accept the same thing over again, and expect different results.

Last time I checked that was the definition of insanity.

The President gets it G.

I think it is the issue of not sinking Mexico over night not causing riots there.

I don't know if you heard, but on May 1 when they had the big deal in Los Angeles, Mexico for some reason closed the border down on their end with their military by San Diego.
I think that was done to not allow filming that day by American crews of people THAT DAY sneaking over the border.

Well, at the border in Mexico, they had near riots all day at the closed border.

I think we have to close it, and I think there is going to be riots in Mexico over it and it could be the start of something worse.

Could be what we don't know about Mexico that Rush also has been wondering about.

If we have a revolution in Mexico, we don't want the Chinese, Russians and other communists or radical Muslims coming in.

That said, build the wall pronto.

There are a number of people just like him right here. With some of the things they say I sometimes think it's him.

In an imperfect world, full of imperfect people, the best you can hope for are imperfect solutions. Idealists are not realists. Now when the perfect does come, all this imperfection will be done away with. And only one person can make that happen. And he sits at the right hand of the Father, waiting for that moment when He says NOW!

1 Corinthians 13
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

"Last time I checked that was the definition of insanity."

I think that was Einstein's saying, not the actual definition.

I'm so frustrated. I have to voice myself somewhere...this is as good a place as any.

I thought, and forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought we elected a representative form of government. That means the folks we elect are supposed to at least listen to us...at least that much. In the case of immigration the president does not even seem to be listening to his base, or if he is, he's ignoring them. I've reached the point of total dispair.

I'm one day away from going into hibernation mode...which means, no more voting, no more participation, no more listening to the politicos, no more cash donations, no more caring.

People will ask, like Rush L., "Well, do you want the dems to control congress and the government? Because if you don't get out and support our guys then that's what you'll get." My answer is this: Our guys are just doing what "they--the liberals" want anyway, so what's the difference? Therefore I'm one day away from just chucking the whole thing.

I'll miss Free Republic. Good luck all you patriots.

I don't agree with how our President is handling this situation either but not to this extent, I really don't want them other wackos running the government.

Ditto....look what happened when the disgruntled Pubs voted for Perot....Clinton for 8 long years....never again!

We have to go with the lesser of 2 evils and Pubs are definitely better than Dems!

Good points folks. But I remember when Renaldus Magnus Reagan was elected. He was sitting in one of the first cabinet meetings after the election and they were discussing something or other and the advice he got from his minions was on the order of "you can't do that because...". Reagan replied, "Well, then what was the point of getting elected?" And then he proceeded to do exactly what the advisors advised against...and everything turned out just fine.

My question is, what is the point of electing these guys if they don't do what the constituents that voted for them want them to do? I'm not after a glass half-full explantion. I'm wondering what's the point? If it smells like amnesty and walks like amnesty and there's gonna be no stopping these criminals, then what's the point of me electing anymore of the same?

I'm just tired of it. Sick and tired of it.

I have another question: Which misdemeanor can I break repeatedly without penalty for 20 or more years? Lemme see, speeding? How about bank robbery-lite, where I only take a few hundred dollars per week? If the criminals get to have a free pass, then I want one too!!!
