Have you talked directly with your Party adminstrators and politicians? People who feel that lowering their business costs depend on such communication do so. People who represent illegal aliens do so. Do the rest of us?

And to others here: does the Libertarian Party Platform still contain an open borders policy? It did the last time that I looked (admittedly, over a year or two ago). Libertarians and Democrats alike voice their concerns to our Party leaders. Do we, and in what numbers?

"No one can voice the slightest criticism of anything the Pubbie majority is doing, or not doing as the case may be, without being called a DU troll. It's ridiculous.

For some reason a lot of folks on this forum think it's wrong somehow to attempt in any way shape or form to hold our elected leaders feet to the fire."

I agree with the essence of your post, as I do with Jim's. Keep the GOP in power but at the same time let them know they MUST represent the voice of their base.. and we shouldn't be intimidated in not doing so.. here or out there. Both are necessary to cause change.. which will take time AND concerted effort on our part to insist on those changes.

After all the years of corruption we seen under Clinton, to even think the Clintons could be back as President just boggles the mind.

I am with you all the way Jim

Thanks, great post as always.

Probably not. After all, that would require effort and might result in disappointment, wheras he knows what he'll get if he petulantly does nothing. AND he can feel good and self-righteous while he (doesn't) do it! :P

We just have to try harder to not nominate RINO’s and weak Republicans. We cann't expect to change RINO's minds but we can try and get rid of them.

Its more painful for those of us that see the immigration debate for what it is, a proxy of the integration debate to come. Id never vote for a Dem but when a vote for the GOP is taken as support for mexican/north american integration policies that just hurts.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero

President Reagan when outlining his plan his strategy to deal with the Beast before this one..

"We win, They lose"

We did and they did so pick up your torches, sharpen the tines on your pitchforks and we will do it again.
(And press those Pajamas:)

Mental masturbation?

Who the hell do you think you are? What makes you think you care for the soul of this country any better than I do?

I've got my own method of giving the RINO's a message. If you don't like my way, too bad.

Good question. What part of "illegal" don't many Conservatives (and Republicans) understand?

Cute. However, you didn't answer the question.

Again, why do we come apart and and eat our own over this issue? Illegal meant illegal last time I checked, but still, why do we on the Right do this?

Real conservatives don't cut and run from their values. You seem to have misplaced the operational part of the phrase while accusing others of leaving a party that left them. Real conservatives will fight on. With that I will agree. But, a third party pulling in the Conservative base and Reagan Democrats is the money bet until and unless the GOP gets its collective head out of it's backside and starts acting in the interests of this country instead of subjugating them to aspirations of Globalist anti-Americans with no loyalty to anything but themselves and greenbacks. I agree with the war whole heartedly and think we should stay there till the job is done. Never have thought differently. On the other hand, being a wartime party doesn't give the GOP a buy on patriotism off the battlefield. They're screwing America at the workplace, at the borders and everywhere that they decide greed is better than patriotism. This is a soveriegn nation built on it's own strengths. It is being destroyed right now economically for the sake of Globalist aspirations. The garaunteed loser here is going down with a sinking ship while spouting off about how doing the right thing is maintaining the status quo instead of forcing the issue and fixing the problems.
If you want to be a party whore, that's your problem. I'm sick of the twin party pimps lying every four years to keep each other in power and simultaneously not doing what's right for the country and pretending that they are.

The WTO treaty is proof enough that none of these unpatriotic quacks belong in Washington.. not one of them.
They don't read the treaty, don't have a clue what's in it and pass it in an unconstitutional fashion usurping authority not granted by treaty powers and subjecting us to a world court from which there is no appeal. Everyone who voted for that treaty should be impeached and the president along with them for deriliction of duty in allowing it to stand. The mindset that allowed that is the same mindset from which the immigration problem proceeds. They cannot be divorced from one another - the same things are driving it..
Greed and Globalist power mongering.

Real conservatives do what's right for the country - not some two bit party that can't remember who it showed up to the wedding with, or the party later, or the home, bedroom, etc. The GOP has become a monied bunch of Johns looking at America as though it were a Brothel. They are no different from the Dems on that score. And unless they get their head wired back to their shoulders, they'll have more to worry about than what R. Lee Ermy would do to them.. They've made deal breaker decision after deal breaker decision and you act like a bunch of liberals in thinking there should be no consequences for it. If you want to act like liberals, don't talk to me about what 'real conservatives' would do.
Real conservatives do what's right for the country and beliee in accountability. They are not mutually exclusive things. And no party is owed loyalty because of what they Say they are inspite of their actions. The Dems are still trying to come to terms with that after quite a while out of power. If you aren't any smarter than them, you don't deserve to be in power anyway.
