Most people start out as volunteers working on all sorts of mundane party tasks. As Volunteers gain experience and support of their fellow volunteers they run for party offices. Such as the country committees they run for offices that control the county organization. From that position people gain regional and state support and run for party offices on the state level. From that experience and recognition comes responsibilities on the national level
The right wing of the Republican party is always taking their marbles and going off in the corner to sulk. Their reason is always that the "Party" is not doing what they want done. Meanwhile back at the party headquarters RINOs are doing the hard work, running for party offices, and getting elected to positions of power within the Republican party.
Right wingers have never grown up. They seem to be screaming for Mommy to stop the RINOs from picking on them. Well here are the cold hard facts of life. In the adult world there are no Mommies to stop the mean Ole RINOs from picking on them. There is no Daddy to drive the car on the right side of the road. There is only you and the RINOs. It is the RINOs and not Daddy that is driving the car where they want it to go. The Rino success is a reflection of the rights inability, and lack of desire to compete and win.
The Rights reaction to RINO control is always to go sit at home on election day. You can depend on the right to put one thumb up their rump and the other in their mouth. The only thing the right ever does is exchange thumbs and complain about the bad taste in their mouths.
Most of the people on the right do not see themselves as capable of exercising control of the party. They are always looking to the party leadership to represent them. They make no effort to cause that to happen.
The RINOs are out there in the real world .. Getting their candidates elected and running for party positions that give them control.
The right is either ignorant, lazy or both. When Republican candidates look for people who can get out the vote and get them elected, they find the RINOs doing all they can to help get them in office. When the RINOs say to the people they have elected, we want you to support X, and oppose Y, the candidate supports X and opposes Y. The coservaties are always claiming that they are the ones who elect Republicans. But when elected officials look for persons who can produce lots of votes, there are Rinos with a record of producing votes. Elected officials tend to dance with the ones that worked to put them in office.
The wacky right always claims they have the power to defeat RINO Republicans. But there is little evidence that they have the support needed to do that.
Here in Ohio RINOS like Voinovich and DeWine have little to fear from the Right Wing, so they suck up to the RINOs. If they truely believed that Conservatives were a big block of votes, they would not suck up to the RINOs. In PA Senators like Specter have little to fear from the right wing and much to gain from the RINOs.
For the RINO Candidates it is always easier to replace right wing voters with DINO voters than it is to please the Right.
You see, for a Republican 1 DINO vote is worth Two Conservative votes. The conservative vote adds one vote to the Republicans total and that that is all. But a DINO vote improves a RINOs margin by two votes. A Dino vote for a Republican is both Republican gain and a Democrat Loss.
For example, say the vote is tied at 1000, to 1000. And a conservative choses to add his vote to the Republican total. The new vote total is 1001 for the Republican and 1000 for the Democrat. But if a DINO voter switches sides,then the vote is 1001 for the Republican and 999 for the Democrat. The Democrat must get two more votes to get back to a tie. He needs one to get back to a tie after a Conservative votes for the Republican. This is just one more reason that RINOs always try to appeal to DINOs rather than Conservatives.
But if Conservatives ever expect to be a majority they must first get involved in the Republican party and prove that they will work to get out the vote. They must run for. and get elected to offices that control the Republican party. But I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. It will require hard work. It will require a time consuming effort over several years.
It still amounts to what it has been for some time now. We are on a fast train to "hell". The dems just shovel coal faster then the reps, but not by much.
Amen. About 14 years ago a man from outside politics gave the two parties a scare. I think another will step up and be able to rally Americans. I am sure that most Dems are fed up as well. I know that he would have a hard time getting the legislative to get along. But if he can use that soapbox and be honest on it he can rally the voters.
Clinton could use the soapbox very well but he is a habitual liar so he had to stay away except for mostly rehearsed interviews and podium appearences. The only reason more "good" people dont step up is because they are not that dumb.
I actually think we are being set up for hillary as the next President and the real battle is where the Bible says it is. In which case the only thing that will keep this country untill the man of sin is revealed is some divine intervention from the Creator Of The Universe.
