Hopefully the Egyptian forces will clean them all out. UBL and Zarqawi must be shown that no country is going to put up with their BS anymore. Al Qaeda seems to be losing any popularity it once had. Only the most brainwashed are going to sign up.

"They are also reported to be raiding more new al Qaeda havens around St. Catherine’s monastery and Wadi Paran in the south."

Interesting. There is an order of Mohammad preserved at +Catherine's Monastery directing that all Mohammadens protect the monks there forever. He couldn't write so the document is signed with a palm print.

Good, ol' DEBKA...

This means that the Egyptians are either fighting Al Qaeda or the Goa'uld.

In the centuries following the Crucifixion, the Sinai, sparsely populated tho it was, was Christian, harboring many monasteries. One of these was St. Catherine's, which harbored her relics. The story is that Mohammed passed through there several times in his traveling-salesman days, and availed himself of the monks' generous hospitality.

In his post-Medina days, when Islam was conquering vast territories by the sword, he signed with a palm-print an order of protection for St. Catherine's, enjoining the "faithful" from their usual slaughter and pillage. If I knew how to post pics to FR I would send you a good one of this document, which, IIRC, is written in Sinatic Greek and Arabic.

Ought to be rather easy to put these guy in a siege and wait them out. Prisoners are better intelligence sources than bodies.

And the Egyptians don't have any qualms about their interrogation methods against terrorists.
