(Debra Saunders) Great American Boycott: No Thanks, I'm Going Shopping
The National Ledger ^ | 04-30-06 | Debra Saunders

Posted on 04/30/2006 1:24:25 AM PDT by Coastal

I am one American who will be moved in the direction not intended by sponsors of the May 1 National Day Without Immigrants Great American Boycott demonstrations.

When supporters of illegal immigration threaten to boycott all stores, it makes me feel like shopping. When I see TV reporters interview demonstrators, who announce that they are undocumented, I can only surmise that illegal immigrants have nothing to fear from immigration authorities.

We need patriots to document the militancy of the illegal immigration movement.
We know the following exist from articles and press releases. What need is pictures, audio clips and film show Communist involvement, Mexican Revanchism, threats of and instances of violence, terrorist-supporters in the ranks, and utter contempt for America.
The mainstreme press will not show this. We need to force the isse.

When the Senate gets back in session, John McCain and Arlen Specter are going to be right back to pushing their "path to citizenship" or "earned citizenship", or whatever they call it.

It's amnesty, period. They want amnesty. Notice how it used to be a "guest worker" and now it's morphed into "earned citizenship". There are some really lousy Republicans in this world, they are shameful.

SHOP HERE MONDAY, MAY 1

PATRONIZE, AND SPEND YOUR MONEY AT, THESE FAVORED BUSINESSES

The following list ranks the Top 10 businesses that give the most to Republicans, according to BuyBlue.org, (website that encourages liberals to shop at business that donate to Democrats). Next to each company is the amount given to Republicans as well as the percentage of donations that go to Republicans vs. Democrats.

10. Krispy Kreme $25,000 100%
9. Fruit of the Loom $28,750 100%
8. Ruby Tuesday $29,000 100%
7. Best Buy $46,434 100%
6. Domino's Pizza $40,677 100%
5. Russell Stover Candies $64,500 100%
4. Scotts Miracle-Gro $148,010 100 %
3. Wendy's $299,000 94%
2. Michaels Stores $416,503 100%
1. Outback Steakhouse $490,650 98%

Chick-Fil-A fast food stores are not on the list of Top 10 businesses that give to Republicans---but Chick-Fil-A is a Christian-centered fast food company that actually closes all of its stores on Sunday, to honor the Lord's day. Their official statement of corporate purpose says that we exist "to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-Fil-A." The Chick-Fil-A menu is very healthy---lots of salads and yummy chicken filet sandwiches. Their waffle fries are really good. No burgers here. The food service caters to children and families.

Dear store owner, If you are closed on Monday to support the takeover of America by non-assimilating, che-loving, illegal aliens and their socialist-promoting and terrorism appeasing friends, not only will you lose the sales that day to stores that I will be shopping in, but I WILL NEVER ENTER YOUR STORE AGAIN.

May I use this as an exact quote on my posters? May I spread it to others?

Gotta' get a Sunday newspaper to check out the sales.....I'm goin' shopping tomorrow!

Thank you! You are absolutely correct.

What I hate is the media calling it the "Great American boycott" it is NEITHER great or American!!!

No American would militantly march and threaten the U.S.A. like they are to CLOSE DOWN THIS COUNTRY!!

Wake up people, they have decided since they wrecked mexico 1 they want mexico 2 for their own and guess which country they chose to turn into a slum and disrespect every one of our laws?

No one is denouncing the insurgents. or their dam* threats just like terroists they are threatening us.

No one is stopping them, they waltz in and take over with the approval from our President, Congress, and every law enforcement (cough cough) agency.

It's an extremely sad day for Americans that the militant socialist communists are being allowed full reign to do whatever they da*n please!

Any bets if millions of us decided to do what the illegals are allowed to do would we be on some 3letter agencies list or worse??

After 911 we all were determined no terroist would attack us again....well surprise folks....we are now under ATTACK!!

Same with Hobby Lobby. They donated 100% to Republicans - just not enough to make the top 10.

Thanks for that list! Our Hobby Lobby also closes on Sunday. I don't know if that is corporate or local.

I can certainly make sure those are the businesses that I support, especially tomorrow.

I agree, lets all go shopping on that day just to protest their stupid protest.

McC and Specter are seeing that no good deed goes unpunished.

Their compassion or whatever it is has backfired by the boycott threats of these ingrates who have invaded our country.

I fully intend to shop tomorrow!

Ordinarily Monday is supermarket day.....not tomorrow!

It's SHOPPING day!

I understand your reaction but some places will have no choice but to shut down as their workers have given notice that they will not be coming to work.

If there is a sign in the window supporting the protesters then that business is fair game to punish.
