I keep wondering why this is relevant. Clinton's poll numbers were in the 60's when he was impeached.

Its relevant because if we lose the mid terms and the Democrats take over the Congress look for multiple investigates as well as censure and impeachment proceedings.

Yes, Clinton was impeached by the House, but Clinton's 60% approval rating, made up and reported by Clinton's supporters in the MSM, so frightened Senate Republicans that they ran and hid rather than support the impeachment.

Let's face it, Senate Republicans have been, and still are, a worthless lot.

Go ahead, go down the list of Senate Republicans and tell me how many keepers you can find. It makes one wonder who is electing these people.

I keep wondering why this is relevant.

I think it is relevant in that it saps his ability to influence congresscritters on needed legislation. "Political capital" he calls it, and it depends on some measure of public support. Right now his account is in the red.
