He wouldn't have gone back on his word if the DEMOCRATS hadn't lied and screwed him.

By all means, hand the power back to the Democrats.

Is it just me or is anyone else getting sick of the one thought Nellies?

Nope, you aren't the only one. By the way, those who want to wall off the country had better extend it over all the coastlines too; the dreaded illegals can use rubber rafts as easily as they use tractor-trailers.

>>>>>I hate conservatives LIKE YOU, who are content to throw this country away for your purist ideas.

You hate CONSERVATIVES, period! Its status quo centrists like you and Bush who are destroying the GOP and America.

>>>>And one of the reasons he's 'failing' is because for six years you and your ilk have been on his A$$ 24/7 about every little thing you don't agree with.

Right, blame us CONSERVATIVES for Bush`s policy failures. LOL I voted for Bush twice and after 5-1/2 years, he's been a big disappointment, just like Bush41.

I guess you have never heard of OPERATION WETBACK -- from President IKE in the 1950's. IT WORKED.
There is something else called executive order.

Perhaps it is you whom does not understand history as you are clearly not familiar with Operation Wetback.

You need to go to Kansas and meet Dorthy, the Lion, Tin man etc on your yellow brick road so that you can ask the wizard of OZ for a brain.

I'm not that happy with some of the things Bush has done and hasn't done, but I'll be DAMNED if I'm going to let the leakers and the liars that are trying to destroy this country have the power back.

Why the Polls are Low for President Bush

Because some people are throwing the baby out with the bath water.

We live in difficult times and people are focusing on the negative, rather than the positive.

In the eyes of some Americans,

those Americans will say they are dissatisfied with Bush.

The Democrats are succeeding in dividing the Republicans.

I am involved with a social and business and family circle of at least 200 folks in Middle Tennessee. Mississippi and North Carolina and Texas.

At least 95% are GOP voters. All I have spoken too the past few months are worried about Bush and the GOP senate.

I went to a Rep. Marsha Blackburn event recently and heard the same thing...over and over.

Immigration is the crucible no doubt but other things like Harriet Meirs and the Port Deal (which I reluctantly understood), and overspending also got folks scratching their heads.

Now Bush and the Senate GOP including neighborhood boy Frist plan to ignore the wishes of their base....and even quite a few moderate Dems and keep on with no border enforcement and quasi-amnesty.

Usually reliable conservative folks are very angry and Bush's poll numbers reflect that. We've already seen this before sorta when his daddy raised taxes and the base got queasy and Perot took advantage and W seems hellbent to ignore that lesson.

The true believer evangelical Bush supporter chorus here are not the reality outside in the real world off this forum. It's a high five rah-rah club. Despite their best histrionics, of course nearly all of us realize that the GOP is a better choice than the Dems but that is not the point. The GOP is struggling and it needs fixing....

Folks are disappointed and looking for ways to recover this fall and in 2008 and hoping these RINOs don't do anymore damage.

The GOP is going to need some fresh blood...or something. I busted my ass for folks only slightly different from a Scoop Jackson Dem. Damned shame. So much lost opportunity.

I'm not the problem with America today.

George W.Bush is THE problem with America today. His politics and his policy suck.

You are correct, there is no one in the whitehouse -- yet the light is on -- so sad!

We are losing our country to the greed of both parties.

I dont get it either ..Bush has been outfront and has never wavered on what he thought was the right thing to do about illegal immigrants from Mexico. We always knew where he stood. The problem has also been the same since Bush took office ...and he is addressing it as best he can.

Here's an article you might find interesting.

I'd always heard it was the enviro-whackos that kept us from getting new refineries. While that may have some truth to it I don't think the oil companies were all that interested in pressing the issue. More supply means lower prices. Fewer refineries = less supply = higher prices = more profits. And then they had the enviro-whackos take the hit. A neat and tidy package.

And I'll probably get flayed here for saying that. :-)
