Stafford Township, New Jersey - May 31, 2006 - Action News is on the scene of a small plane crash in Stafford Township, New Jersey.
Police believe the plane exploded in mid-air before falling to the ground in the woods.
The accident happened at 11:00 this morning.
The plane was registered to Aviron Aviation LLC, in North Plainfield, according to Jim Peters, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration. Police do not believe anyone on the ground was injured.
Same story...another headline:
Four Dead In Plane Explosion At Jersey Shore
Police now confirm four people were killed in a mid-airplane explosion over Manahawkin, N.J., near Long Beach Island on Wednesday morning....
Latent disease explodes later. 66 percent of all TB cases coming to America originate in Mexico, the Philippines and Vietnam.
How can this be ignored in Washington? Perhaps it isn't being ignored; our elected officials just don't care.
"Police believe the plane exploded in mid-air before falling to the ground in the woods."
Thank you all4one for the info.
Updates appreciated on this incident.

Travel Warning
United States Department of State
Bureau of Consular Affairs
Washington, DC 20520
This information is current as of today, Wed May 31 2006 14:16:02 GMT-0700.
EAST TIMOR
May 30, 2006
This Travel Warning is being updated to alert Americans to ongoing security concerns in East Timor. The U.S. Embassy has been granted ordered departure status. Family members and non-emergency American employees have been ordered to depart East Timor. The Department of State urges American citizens to defer travel to East Timor. Americans currently in East Timor should depart in light of the current security situation. This supersedes the Travel Warning issued on May 24, 2006.
The Department of State is concerned by the threat to the personal safety of Americans in East Timor due to continued communal and politically motivated violence. Demonstrations in response to the dismissal of 595 members of the armed forces escalated into rioting and violence on April 27 30 and again escalated in late May. It may be difficult to secure a flight out of East Timor. American citizens who seek to leave the country but encounter difficulties doing so should contact the Embassy.
The Department of State advises U.S. citizens traveling or residing in East Timor to be alert to the potential for violence, to avoid those areas where disturbances have occurred, and to avoid demonstrations and large gatherings. Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence.
The Department of State urges that American citizens to defer travel to East Timor and that Americans currently in East Timor depart in light of the current security situation. Americans who choose to travel to East Timor despite this Travel Warning should immediately register at the Embassy and obtain all recent messages sent to the American community in East Timor. The U.S. Embassy in Dili can be reached at +670 332-4684 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. local time or the duty officer outside business hours at +670-723-1323. The US Embassy is located on Avenida de Portugal in the Pantai Kelapa area. U.S. citizens living in or traveling to East Timor can also register through the State Department's travel registration website,
https://travelregistration.state.gov.
For the latest security information, Americans living and traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department's Bureau of Consular Affairs Internet web site at http://travel.state.gov/, where the current Worldwide Cautions, Public Announcements, and Travel Warnings can be found. Travelers should also consult the Department of State's latest Consular information Sheet for East Timor. Up-to-date information on security can also be obtained by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll free in the U.S., or, for callers outside the U.S. and Canada, a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444. These numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (except U.S. federal holidays).

Jail time for Jordanian editors who reprinted Muhammad cartoons
From The Khaleej Times:
AMMAN - A Jordanian court Tuesday sentenced to prison two newspaper editors for "attacking religious sentiment" by reprinting cartoons deemed offensive to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), their lawyer said.
Jihad Momani, former editor of the weekly Shihane tabloid, and Hisham Al Khalidi, editor-in-chief of the tabloid Al Mehwar, were each sentenced to two months in prison, attorney Mohammed Kteishat told AFP.
[...]
Momeni and Khalidi both pleaded not guilty.
Their arrests have been condemned by international press watchdogs, who say journalists should not be jailed for what they publish.
Early in February, King Abdullah II said insulting the prophet was "an unjustifiable crime ... that could not be justified on the pretext of freedom of expression."
Though he later recanted, it is worth recalling Momani's comments that accompanied the cartoons:
"Muslims of the world, be reasonable... what brings more prejudice against Islam, these caricatures or pictures of a hostage-taker slashing the throat of his victim in front of the cameras or a suicide bomber who blows himself up during a wedding ceremony in Amman?"
