Abolish, erase, destroy, 'un-write', eliminate, vote into oblivion, - the 17th Amendment.

Time left out a word in "Ten Best Senators" heading. That heading should have been "Ten Best Drunken Senators".

The only thing that shocks me is no Hillary Clinton, no Barbara Boxer, or no John Kerry. Shoot, I figured they would have promoted John Conyers to Senator for his work to impeach Bush over whatever happened the previous week.

Drunk fat ted is very likely the worst senator ever.

He has shaped up pretty well recently so don't be too down on the "Happy Hour Kid".

Cirrhosis has a way of doing that to a person.

My father had cirrhosis and after awhile he was in great shape--right until he became almost anorexic looking, and then he died, at age 39.

I glanced at the list and saw that drunk Ted Kennedy on it. As soon as I saw that I didn't even bother reading it.

Not only Kennedy, but his buddy John McCain. Not worth reading.

What is interesting about this: even the so-called "experts" didn't pick JOHN EFFING KERRY as one of the best...and I bet 90% of them voted for that windbag to be the next President! bwa haha ha haha ha ha!

Their list previously of best and worst Governors was horrible. Biased. This list isn't as bad, but Allard doesn't belong on list of worst.

Hi, Radix. Where is Time magazine? Just curious.

Believe it or not---just now receiving this mag rag weekly. What a bunch of biased BS.

I'll say it once more, UGH.

Good grief media folks, wake up. LEFTIST media sucks.

There is no way that I can keep up with your posting and the Sopranos on HBO at the same time. I'll try anyhow.

You are still getting Time magazine at home? Sucker!

Really though, I used to get Time, Newsweek, US News, and a whole of other zines.....I did so for years, and I'm not sorry now.

I don't get those publications anymore. I haven't even looked at the Boston Globe in months. I stopped listening to Imus almost 2 years ago and one might surmise that I am now some sort of a Xenophobe.

I'm not. I simply refuse to let certain a$$holes continue to corrupt my thinking processes.

I have come to recognize that there have always been social commentators among us.

I sort of like the film makers who came into prominence during the 20th century.

You may want to consider jean renoir. He did some great work.

Louis Malle, and others such as Luis Bunuel also come to mind.

Over 43 years in the senate, Democrat Ted Kennedy has fought serial battles on behalf of the working class—from defending overtime pay and workplace-safety regulations to expanding health-care availability and penalizing discrimination. But the key to his legacy is not that he is determined to stick up for his principles. It's that he is willing to compromise on them

Compromising your principles make you great, in Time's eyes.

Ridiculous!!

Prior to reading the list, I had a hunch the 10 "best" would all be a bunch of screwy attack-dog Dems and spineless RINO sellouts, and the 10 "worse" would be principled conservatives.

After the reading the list, I have to say... ::sigh:: Must the media be THAT pathetically predictable?

My hunch on Time's upcoming "non-partisan" picks for Congress...

THE BEST
Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA)
Rep. John Murtha (D-PA)
Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) (for "principled opposition to the war")
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)
Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL)
Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI)
Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA)
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY)
Rep. Christopher Shays (R-CT)
Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL)
Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA)

THE WORST
Rep. Tom Delay (R-TX)
Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI)
Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ)
Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA)
Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO)
Rep. Henry Hyde (R-IL)
Rep. Gene Taylor (D-MS)
Rep. Peter King (R-NY) (they accidentially get one right)
Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN)
Rep. Bobby Jindal (R-LA)

The bias is so deep that they don't even see Ted and Specter as liberal.
