Hehe, sure, but when you lose, it´s not always the refs´ fault! Do you (or have you) actively play(ed) soccer?

Be prepared to spend a lot. Thanks to the Euro, everything is overpriced.

Yes but not as much as I have other sports. Let me put it this way, it is the sport that comes most natural to me, both playing and watching, however I am no expert in it but enough to hold my own.

Question, did I EVER say every time you lose it is the refs fault? No I did not.

Since I was living and studying in Munich for several years I am well aware of the remants of WWII and the former Nazi regime there. Anyway I do not believe, that a tourist from Maryland is able to find the artefacts of the "reich in ruins" (Espechially since most of those ruins do not exist anymore, are hidden in some really lost places or are used for completely different purposes). Munich has indeed a lot of remants left. I.e. around the Königsplatz where the "Brown House" was and the former "Führerbau" still exists. If we talk about "ruins" I recommend the "Alte Pinakothek"" which has abundantly clear signs of the bombings. It was reconstructed in a wonderful way by the famous German architect Hans Döllgast. Another nazi building in Munich is the "Haus der Deutschen Kunst" or Hitlers former appartment at the Prinzregentenplatz. Even some old "Pleitegeier" ("vulture of disaster") can be seen in contemporary Germany:

On FR we had recently a interesting discussion about a church full of nazi art:

Anyway it is nice to meet real "experts" on the issue from Maryland. ;-)

i just have to see my sick mother. once she passes I won't visit any more.

It is of course okay to visit your sick mother. As long as she lives you are welcome in my country. Anyway I find it good that you will renounce to go to Germany after this reason is going to drop out, since you obviously do not like the country or its people. If visitors have aversions against my compatrots or my country they should stay in their own country or go anywhere else. Political politeness to such people like you is the wrong sign. No matter if they come from a friendly country (like you) or not. Personally I do not visit the people and countries that I disapprove either.

Besides of this I greet all folks who want to visit Germany with friendly feelings in their hearts with a really warm welcome.
