Ah, dude, I lived that series. It was a national nighmare. No need for a rerun.

Shows what happens when you ignore half your base -- in in this case -- half your potential audience.

I like Geena Davis, but I knew it was going to go badly for that show when I started seeing the promos with her and Donald Sutherland going at it and I thought to myself, "Who wrote this crap?" (well, "crap" wasn't the exact word I was thinking, but you get the idea.)

Clearly, the country is NOT ready for a women President.
I'd vote for Condi Rice...or Ann Coulter for that matter.

There are posters all over train stations here in Britain, trying to get people to watch this.
No thank you.

Hillary would first have to actually get elected for life to imitate art, and I really can't see that happening. Actually, on the show Mackenzie was elected as Vice President, and became President after the elected President suffered a bout of Arkancide. That is entirely possible in real life and could be considered probable should Hillary become the Veep

I'd watch a TV series with Gary Cooper as President and Grace Kelly (miscast) as First Lady!

Not just a war underway... but, with much of the world living under the stoneage rules, a US female president is not a thought they would even entertain. A US president must be the strongest of world leaders. And I cannot see Hillary in that role. How strongly could she stand up against fascism? Would Iran tremble in its boots, scared of Ms. Clinton's retaliation?

I only watched barely half of the first show...the dialogue as written was terrible, delivery certainly couldn't save it. That's why the show failed.
I'm just waiting for the lefties to say America just isn't ready for a female president..that's why the show failed.

Maybe they should have tried the first openly lesbian President instead. Heck, it worked for "Brokeback Mtn".
To: Babu
This thing got more free publicity than "Air America," and they both tanked, proving you can't shove a rotten meal down the public's throat. I tried watching the first episode and thought it was idiotic. I admit I was a little worried at first because this thing debuted with such big numbers and was getting so much press at the expense of my favorite show, "House," which was opposite it. Entertainment Weekly, for instance, did puff piece after puff piece on "CIC" while ignoring "House" completely, not even listing Hugh Laurie in their "Entertainers of the Year" issue during the year he won the freakin' Golden Globe as the best actor on TV!
But you can't fool the public for long. This week, "CIC" faces the ax while "House" is #4 in the Neilsen ratings. I would love to hear how Dr. House would bid President Geena goodbye.
