The felon part of the house bill is causing all this controversy and detracting from the real issues.

The dems voted to keep the amendment in to smear the GOP. The dems hated the border fence in the house bill and the fact that there was no amnesty in the house bill. Almost all of them voted against the final bill in the house.

The dems were able to vote for keeping the felon amendment in and then blame the gop for it to in turn keep the illegals to have sympathy.

They knew a complicit MSM would never show headlines how the dems are playing political games instead of addressing the real issues.

This reminds me of rangel having bills in the house for the draft before the 04 election and bush getting the blame for the draft bill.

The few Gop reps that voted against removing the felon part did their cause great harm.

The issue should be about building a wall and against amnesty. Dems voted agaisnt the house bill because they don't want border security and they want amnesty. They have allowed the dems to make this felon issue an issue.

Now the dems are even more interested in blocking a border security bill because they don't want it to go to conference where hastert will take out the felon provision and take that issue away from the dems.

When the MSM is on your side the dems have shown they could get away with anything. Where are the reporters asking pelosi to explain her vote against removing the felon label. The media would never dare call the dems hypocrites and political whores.

The felon provision was never going to pass the senate so to put it in there took away from the real issues and that issue will play horribly in the latino areas.

The media won't put the blame at the dems playing politics so the gop will instead of getting 40 percent of the hispanic vote will now get the same hispanic support as they get with blacks.

Bush needs to hold a prime time press conference and hammer the dems for their lies and hammer the media for their lies on this.

I know Bush is not good on this issue but he is only one that can stop the lie of the felon issue being out there.

It is a trumped up lie by the dems who are the same people who voted for it to smear the gop.

It is amazing their strategy worked. It's all in the public record who put the amendment in and who is keeping it in.

"Today we march, tomorrow we vote,'' said Guzman.

"We shall arm ourselves,'' added Gutierrez.

Quoted from a couple of the nicer illegal alien marchers of the 200,000 marchers in Phoenix yesterday....a crowd that stretched for 2 miles.....

The illegal alien invasion of the USA during war time MUST be made a felony....

Open borders is an anathema to a war on terror...the war on terro is a sad joke designed specifically to garner power for the NWO who allegedly leads the conservative movement..

The left is not redeemable...the right still has a chance..

imo

Yes typical... a 'poison pill' provision the dems stuck in there, then targeted as their main talking point... and have now 'defended' to keep it in (along with refusing any other debate)

How.... special.

I agree with the dems and the GOP reps who stood up for law-abiding Americans. Illegally invading my country should at the very least be categorized as a felony.

Yeah! We all trust him to protect our borders and deal with illegal immigration. The immigration problem isn't in congress or making illegals felons. The problem is sitting in the Whitehouse doing everything he can to see that our laws are not enforced..

Funny how many are more worried about harming the GOP than they are of the ultimate harm to the America of our founders.

Tancredo who is great on this issue voted to take the felon part out.

MSM has not show the dem hypocracy for tancredo voting for taking it out and pelosi voting for keeping it in.

But that won't stop the MSM from running their hit pieces against the gop how latinos are leaving the gop in droves.

I wish someone would call Hillary on her lies.

Let her face the music that tancredo voted to take the felon part out and pelosi and rangel voted to keep it in.

She is blaming the GOP for this.

We have a MSM that is basically the pr wing of the DNC.

The dems must think the people are really stupid for them to play their games like this. Having the MSM on their side doesn't hurt.

The gop could never get away with what the dems.

And the GOP has not done its job of getting the message out. But what else is new. The Dems are great at playing politics, then accusing the other side of playing politics. The MSM allows hypocrisy from the Dems.

Yeah they're talking tactics, MSM and strategy like it's a damn video game. All the while this administration takes orders from a foreign president to adopt 12+ million of his citizens against the will of American people. Amazing.

Bush needs to hold a prime time press conference and hammer the dems for their lies and hammer the media for their lies on this.

Why do you think this will help?

The media will twist his words and many Conservatives think it's all Bush's fault and they will accuse him of passing the buck.

Who cares what the dems are for? I like the term felon, it fits. Look at the bigger picture. I don't care how we stop the invasion or who gets the credit for stopping it, as long as it is stopped.

200,000 marchers in Phoenix yesterday....a crowd that stretched for 2 miles.....

The wife and I traveled to California back in early February. We went through Palm Springs on a Saturday on our way to Temecula and the hispanics were lining the streets protesting then, thousands of them. Apparently, the "movement" is growing.....
