No, I have another option, change the party from within and in the primaries. That is the only choicre that makes sense.

Hopefully, you know the difference between the Rockefeller Reublicans, RINO's, Republicans in name only and the conservative right wing. You have 3 choices of Republicans. Which part will you be working with?

Well, there is the option that General Trujillo took against the Haitian illegals in the Dominican Republic. Don't think the American people have the stomach for that though...

I'm rather proud that we don't have the stomach for that sort of thing.

Good article by Farah. Anyway, this is certainly I litmus test I'll place on every politician I vote for, from here on out. I'm not going to get burned again. If something is not done quickly to restore our borders (fences, walls, deportations, the whole works), I could care less if our whole government gets overthrown. There's no place too hot in Hell for some of these sell-out politicians. Like I mentioned in a previous in thread somewhere, any American supporting amnesty is no better than one supporting Al-Qaeda, as far as I'm concerned.

"Not if they self deport. Immediately cut off all educational resources, health care resources, housing, or employment. Make them ineligible for welfare. They'll self deport."

"If it were that simple, we'd already have done it."

We haven't done it because the liberals, including some Republicans, don't want them to go back to Mexico. Citizens have voted to cut-off services to illegals but have been blocked by liberal judges who have not been appealed because of liberal governors. The problem in not unsolvable, there just is not the will to solve it.

"They just might."

Extremely doubtful. The Democrats/socialists/Marxists/Communists, et al, are behind all of this immigration bs and the UNIONS and media brainwashed rank and file Democrat voters are in lockstep. Why would they suddenly change and start voting Republican when they're getting everything they want as Democrats?

I don't want FINES for those who hire illegals. I want JAIL TIME. It should be a very, very costly crime.

I don't think so, the Democrats, particularly, and the Republicans, to a lesser degree, look at these hoards as potential voters. I think that is what we are, REALLY, up against. THAT is the thinking we need to change.

with strict border enforcement, with limited legal immigration

Repeat after me: there will be no 'strict' border enforcement, and existing illegals will not be deported; in fact, the numbers are going to increase.

Now, rant and rave about defeatism, etc., but the bottom line is that once you come to accept these conditions, you're faced with two choices: play defense and let the invaders dictate the terms, or go on the offense and pull-off a reverse hostile takeover.

All Mexico needs is (1) private property rights, and (2) contract enforcement. Both would come as a result of US federation under our legal system.

Those two things alone would send 100m US citizens south, and somewhere in the vicinty of $5 trillion in capital investment.

Doubling the beautiful Caliornia coastline through Baja alone would generate enough economic activity to employ every man, women & child in the two countries.

The solution is to elect as many conservatives as possible and continue building on the majorities and to never ever lose ground to the Marxists.

You know this how? Seems to me, it isn't over yet. So none of us can say with such certainty what will be.

I SO agree with you, Jim. I am so upset with the "McCain mind-set" Republicans, but it is with them, personally, not the party. My Senators, so far, have voted the way WE wanted them to, but I know they are under a lot of pressure. I sent faxes and called every day for the last 2 weeks, just to let them know they were doing the right thing!

There is probably some truth in that, too! LOL

"What do you suggest those of us that are outraged at the behavior of our party do? Rewarding them by ignoring their lack of desire to protect America just doesn't work for me. They need punished(IMHO). I have a very short nose, but I am still willing to cut it off a little more."

What I would suggest is to get involved with party politics at the grassroots level, make changes from within.

If you can bring 30-50 solid Conservative votes to the polls every election day, you are worth more than a party donor that can give $50,000., and the leadership of the party WILL listen to your concerns on the issues!

That was told to me personally by a GOP leader who's name everyone here would recognize, but I'm not a name dropper so I don't need to mention the name.

Trust me folks, I'm a nobody in most measurements, but by being involved in party politics I'm a known nobody that can voice my concerns on the issues and get a personal reply back, not a stupid form letter.

McCain is a Rockefeller Republican just like George Bush.

Not enough boats to ship them back on. Stem the tide at the border, then recognize reality and assimilate the rest.

It isn't possible to assimilate those who have no desire to assimilate. If the Borders were secured, and the incentives, and government handouts were taken away, most would deport themselves. However I don't believe those we elect to represent us have the courage, or the will to do what is necessary to save the country.

I know the difference, I'll be supporting George Allen in 2008.

I sincerely doubt there are many Republicans seeing these "hordes" as voters. Democrats yes. Obviously, they're salivating over 11 million plus potential Democrat constituents. Kennedy, et al, are in the catsbird seat on this issue. It's a no win situation for the Republicans. We'll be lucky to survive with our skins intact.
