Also, for those that think that calling a verifying a SS# works, it doesn't. I have said this for awhile. It only confirms the name and SS# match. It doesn't prove that Juan Gomez is really Juan Gomez. There can be 20 Juan Gomezes out there using the same number and Feds don't care.

You must be a source of amazement to all those well to do retirees you regularly tell off...those poor bewildered old folks.

An undocumented immigrant worker managed to use Steve Millet's Social Security number for more than 10 years before the incident was discovered. Millet said the imposter managed to obtain a dozen credit cards, buy a car, and even a house using the stolen number and his own name. All the while, that imposter paid taxes, paid into Social Security, and took out loans using the stolen Social Security Number. All of those agencies had a record of the abused SSN; none bothered to tell Steve Millet.

I think that the Fair Tax's prebate would be even more abused in the same manner of using stolen identity, since that criminal misuse would be for the direct receipt of money rather than just taking on debt and paying taxes.

While I favor a national retail sales tax, I don't think trying to implement a nationwide monthly "cash-back" scheme is going to be feasible. We already see how illegal aliens are willing to steal social security numbers just to get credit and to have a legitimate tax number: just think if they could also get a nice monthly lump of cash also.

In fact listen to what a lot of us are saying in our posts regarding the illegals issue.

We as Americans who have rights and FReedom can't have this (as in your case a Flat Tax) and we can't do that because the illegals amongst us will do something criminal to us
(as in ID theft).

We the People are being held hostage to what they may or may not do to harm us or our children. Again and again thousands of them take our streets hostage so they can demonstrate.

They have drawn quite a lot of dangerous groups to their "peaceful" marches.

They threw bottles at Dallas Citizens at their "peaceful" marches.

Where are our "representatives" going to do about this? when will they finally say enough? And not allow them to take our country hostage?
