Actor Ben Affleck has made it very clear where his sympathies lie in the Leakgate affair -- and it isn't with the White House.
Appearing on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher," Affleck charged that President Bush "probably also leaked CIA agent Valerie Plame's name and so "if he did, you can be hung for that! That's treason! He continued: "You could be killed. That's not a joking around Tom DeLay 'I'll do a year, I bribed the state officials with corporate money.' That's like they shoot you in the battlefield for doing that.
Affleck also called DeLay a "criminal."

Affleck is just another actor obsessed with himself and living in a bubble world in Hollywood. I guess growing up in Cambridge has that effect on the brain. I never understand how someone can blame Bush for everything and give Clinton a free pass. Idiot.

Who cares about Affleck, he showed his ignorance of the facts. What was the most telling in that show was the use by Biden of "G'damn when talking about Christianity by a President. I never watch the program but was out of town and caught it on cable and my husband and I were stunned, the lies he told.

Hanged is the word, Ben. Hanged.
Is hanged, was hanged, will be hanged. If a man, even our president, is HUNG - you should not speak about it on television except on some porn channel. This wonderfully informed Hollywood 'intellectual' has clearly shown his lack of same.
In essence, Ben Affected had said that if the President leaked, we should give him some Viagra.

Ben, you're an idiot.
First of all, revealing classified information may be a felony, but it is not treason.
Second, you've been caught up in this non-story... I've said it before, I'll say it again: Plame was not a covert agent.
Third, you're an idiot.

Didn't he do a movie called "gili" or something to that effect ? Now thats a hanging offense I will probably differ from most here, but I actually enjoyed Jeely. It was worth sitting through most of the movie till AlPac arrived. The most unforgetable line from that movie(to that effect) --
[Al Pacino] "Do you know how you truly intimidate sombody..? Not by pointing a gun at him..you are most intimidating ..when you don't give a s*** ! "
Now that line made my day.

I sometimes wonder if these Hollywood types are REALLY this dense or are they under some sort of pressure to sound extreme in order to get cast in the hippest movies. You'd have to think some of these people must have their lines spoonfed one word at a time if they had that sort of IQ on the movie set.

Biden was playing to the audience and knew he could say it for them, Bill Sammon was outnumbered 4:1. They made fun of President Bush and Biden was eaten it up. I didn't have a problem with that until he used the term I spoke of to criticize republicans who use their religion to promote politics.
