Reckless in the Senate [ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION ALERT]
National Review ^ | March 29, 2006 | Editors

one amnesty is not enough. That's the message the Senate Judiciary Committee sent Monday. It passed a proposal that not only embraces the McCain-Kennedy guest-worker program and amnesty for illegals, but throws in a separate amnesty for illegal agricultural workers and another for illegal-alien graduates of high school, who will get legal status and in-state tuition to college. This is a festival of amnesty that throws legal status at every form of illegal alien, sometimes twice over. The Judiciary Committee proposal also would give work permits to an additional 400,000 entrants a year, almost enough to match the 500,000 illegal aliens who already cross the border annually. All this is essentially an attempt to legalize every illegal alien who is in the country, or thinking of coming to the country. The Judiciary Committee proposal makes McCain-Kennedy look modest by comparison.

Call the President - I have the answer to the illegal immigrant problem.

First, all workers would have to present a valid SS#, green card or guest worker card which could be checked by accessing a Federal Database.

If an employee did not use due diligence in obtaining these document from their illegal immigrant employees, said employees could turn in the employee and automatically become a citizen and receive a $2,000 bounty.

The employer would be fined $5,000. If counterfeit documents were used to get a job, it would be considered a felony.

I would like to nominate McCain for a charge of treason and a firing squad.

This would be laughable if it weren't so dangerous and ridiculous.

Just remember, it's not amnesty if they have to comply with the [new] law.
Massive relabeling underway.

The vast majority of the American people oppose amnesty. The vast majority of the American people support border control. What's the priority of the the US Senate? Amnesty plus! How cowardly and stupid can Republican elected officials get? They hit bottom, then dig. The GOP is cutting it's own throat with their cowardice, stupidity and lack of political sense.

I wish people would get a whiff of the Diversity Visa program. Just Google it. Is reserves 50,000 green cards per year for people from poor countries that are not well represented in the American population. I found out about it from the Bangalis who have suddenly descended on the c-stores in my neighborhood. We needed them like a hole in the head. We are already coping with SE Asians who are turnng our trailer park into a Cambodioan refugee camp, half million noisy Haitians, millions of Cubans, French Canadian snowbirds and fugitives from Chavez's Venezuela. We are an integrated city that is 67% black. What moron thinks we need diversity visas?

This is an area where the Democrats are correct about Republicans: they are owned by big business. Big Business wants cheap labor, and the Democrats want more poor people living off the welfare state to boost their success at the ballot box.

If we the people do not do something about this, it will pass.

D.C. talking points: It's not a "blanket amnesty" nor is it an "automatic path to citizenship." It merely rewards the people who break the law are here "doing the work Americans will not do."

"doing the work Americans will not do."

Every time I hear that phrase I my BP rises. Now, the new cutsie phrase is "illegals go to the end of the line".

These two bogus arguments. [1] That 'go to the end of the line' is just feeding us a line, a load of crap. The end of the line puts them back in their originating country, and we know the politicians won't send them there. Under the Senate Judiciary bill, illegals get better treatment than visa holders. Overstay a visa by one day, and that means deportation (assuming it is enforced).

It is like [2] that 'jobs Americans won't do', which is another load of crap. The argument might work IF no Americans are currently employed in those functions. The argument fails because there ARE Americans who work in the fields, who pick lettuce, who clean toilets at Holiday Inn, who sweep up office buildings, etc. Every day there are Americans doing those jobs. It is an insult to imply that they don't. It is elitist to assume they don't.

Just yesterday I found out about the in-state tuition provision. A Federal law that would require states to provide in-state tuition to illegal aliens. I hope that this whole thing raises such a storm among the American people that no one associated with it ever gets elected to anything again.

There's a lot to be POed about, isn't there? It reminds me of some old quote that goes something like "Not only do they expect you to take a big bite out of this sh!t sandwich, they expect you to tell them it tastes good."

I spent all night working on another pseudo-bill to send these people and the RNC every time they ask for money:

(click for high resolution image)

If you like my work on this, then Right click on THIS LINK and do a 'save as' to download a full sheet set up for great quality printouts on letter sized paper

Then print out a bunch and send them in when these RINOS ask for more money.... (I imagine they are getting used to getting the sacredcowburgers BushPesos by now,so these ought to get their attention once again.)

They may look a little funny on your monitor, but they print quite nicely, especially on color inkjet or color laser printers.

Don't try to spend them!

I agree, Americans will do the work that illegals do, if they are paid enough. I am willing to pay more for my produce.

Hey, that's very nice! (I always did like ol' Ben.) I've been printing up enough funny money lately that I'm low on ink!

Don't try to spend them!

I won't. I may, however, pass some out if I come across any gullible looking winos.
