One of the reasons I can't watch O'Reilly, Hannity, Matthews and some others is they talk over their guests. They should all learn from Schieffer.

I was actually struck today by Schieffer not waiting for Cheney to finish to go on to his next DNC talking point question.  They post the podcast either later today or early tomorrow.  Go back and listen to how often (I think every time) Schieffer talked over the Vice President's response.  He might have been finished, he might not have been, but  Cheney was unfailingly polite.  But every answer from the Vice President had the unspoken "let me explain this to you in simple terms so even you will understand..."

Laconic Wyoming booyah!

I could have sworn I saw a bit of moisture in Juan's eyes when Brit lit into him and the camera came back on him.

He can cry all he wants it won't change the truth.
Poor Britt he will probably have to carry Juan out of the studio, again.

I have a feeling that releasing these documents to the public is just the first step in the process. Bloggers will email back their translations citing the document number. The more innocuous ones will be put on the back burner. The translations of the more relevant documents will be validated and the documents authenticated. At that point the MSM caveats will be rendered irrelevant.

"let me explain this to you in simple terms so even you will understand..."

Yes, I watched the 24 min video on internet and was thinking the same thing. Almost every item went back to Schieffer like he was a little school kid, with not much understanding of the Bush WH.

Well, my oldest Brother who is 67 YOA said it in the Mid 50's and I never forgot it,and I have used it myself for a huge element of surprise. It is particularly appropriate when talking to the MSM/DNC types, and of late the clueless Pubbies. I have even been known to draw a picture for some stuck on stupid idiots. Please no photoshops of that expression or Jim Rob will close us down. LOL! I am already fearing a picture of that talking Butt. "Snort",cackle,cackle....

Compassionate condescension. A Conservative's best weapon.

That damn Marvin Kalb is on Fox now comparing this to Viet Nam, comparing Bush to Nixon, and LYING and being a shill for the democrats.

He thinks complete victory is unattainable in Iraq.

I want to know why this creep gets to be on BY HIMSELF without any opposing voice! He NEVER has anyone to counter his opinions! And Jamie is too awed by Mr. Famous Journalist Kalb to ask him anything other than letting him spew.

I am sending a note to Fox right now. Grrrr.

Someone may have put Gregory's balls to a wall recently.

#####

It is possible that a little courage may have transferred to Gregory during the President's trip to Afghanistan, India and Pakistan. Maybe he witnessed a real man facing down real - as in carbombs going off - threats.

He said that Kennedy is the LAST person that should be commenting on foreign policy.

Ummm .. That's not exactly what he said

He said that Senator Kennedy would be the last person that he would look towards for leadership on foreign policy ;0)
