I'm sure hugh hewitt would be happy with a country full of RINOs, as long as they had that precious (R) by their name.

I don't think I want the crap we're stuck with now, permanently. In fact, I'm sure I don't. America can't afford two Big Stupid Government parties. D.C. needs a top-to-bottom enema.

So, the latest excuse for Republican lies is the lack of a 100-seat Senate majority?

It just gets lamer and lamer, doesn't it?

No, Hank, the lack of a 60-seat majority. Big difference.

I meant that a complete disappearance of the Rat party, which obviously won't happen, would still leave us with two parties: Real Republicans and RINOs.

What's a "Real" Republican? The party itself is the problem, because it's a meaningless collection of principle-free political hacks. See the questions I've posed on my FR page and try to be the first to answer them.

I agree completely with what you are doing, but I have no idea of what financial compensation that is available to you, and that does concern me.

None that I know of, however the compensation of knowing my child is learning geography and not getting a socialist rant about the latest Dubya SOTU speech is more than worth it. I appreciate the concern but I am doing well enough to afford my own home, a couple reliable cars, high speed internet and a birthday party for my 14 year old daughter tonight. Which is why I'm still up. She and her 8 sleepover friends are singing on a damnable karaoke machine. My wife hasn't had to work since the first year of our marriage so we have not sacrificed with a loss of income like many other home schoolers. We are blessed.

As you know, local schools receive money from both local governments, and the federal govt. Is there anything available to home schoolers?

The problem becomes when one takes tax dollars one becomes obligated to obey government mandates. If the strings are not present now, they soon would be. I would fear government home school monitoring would bring the government further into private homes.

WI is a leading state in supporting charter schools and school voucher programs, but most of it is focused on the Milwaukee schools system...and rightfully so. The Milwaukee schools a failing to educate and breeding gang killers and drug dealers. Madison schools just fail to educate.

I'll respectfully disagree.

As much as it pains me to say, I miss the "balance" we had in the 90's where spending was an anathema.

I am APALLED that spending under the current administration has increased 48% over Clinton. That is OUR money...gone to mostly crappy gov't programs that don't work.

"Fiscal Conservative" is a pejorative in today's gov't. It is pathetic.

It is funny to me to think that the country seems to be turning "red" since up here in Vermont things are really getting "red".

Things have gotten so bad here that Mrs SV and I have decided we will leave when my oldest graduates in '07. We are thinking of North Carolina. Anyone know a good town?

I would like to recommend to you that you should make yourself aware of Hillsdale College, in MI. They are a Liberal Arts College that accepts no federal money, and dosen't allow their students to do so either. Good luck to you and your children. And good-nite.

The left is promoting gay marriage, gun control, anti christian, weak on defense, enirowachos, are often anti american, revel in irresponsiblity, and want govt. to take care of them.

The scumbag "moderates" like that stuff, too. At least, out one side of their mouths they do. RINOs are like "a little bit of cancer". No thanks.

A Democrat Congress would be proper punishment for abdication of responsibility and the raping of ideals.

This is like beating your wife when your kid misbehaves. If you think the Republican leadership will suffer you are wrong. It is the American people who will pay for a D congress.

The Fight to Create a Permanent Republican Majority

Democrats are doing all the fighting - by promoting abortion, "gay marriage" and suppressing the free exercise of religion in public sphere. Republicans in order to win should encourage Democrats on this path of self-destruction.

Your respect is noted and appreciated.

Let me respectfully defend my points. The out of control spending comes 3 places, earmarks which are used to bribe people for votes is a closely divided congress, no child left behind which has worked in that all measures show the underachieving students are doing much much better, and the medicare prescription drug give away which really is bad but did include health savings accounts which is getting market reforms to health care in the front door.

If you read up on health savings accounts, they are effective and the wave of the future. Giving away the medicare benefits was the price the democrats extracted for not filibustering the health savings accounts.

Unless something has changes, WE have the majority. In the House AND the Senate.

With the way they have been acting lately, who cares if we are the majority!!!!

who cares if we are the majority!!!!

Judicial appointments. Tax cuts. Free market (not socialized Hillary care) health care. Not having Pelosi, Dean, Reid, Kennedy, Boxer, and Feinstein in control.

Is that reason enough to care ?

So you really believe that rinos are promoting gay marriage, gun control, anti christian, weak on defense, enirowachos, are often anti american, revel in irresponsiblity, and want govt. to take care of them.

You are a nut if you believe that.
