60 years later, prisoner talks of horrors he was ordered to record

ZYWIEC, Poland (AP) -- For years afterward, photographer Wilhelm Brasse saw them in his dreams -- emaciated Jewish girls, herded naked in front of his camera at Auschwitz.

Eventually, his dreams stopped. But he never took pictures again.

"I didn't return to my profession, because those Jewish kids, and the naked Jewish girls, constantly flashed before my eyes," he said.

"Even more so because I knew that later, after taking their pictures, they would just go to the gas."

From 1940, prisoner Wilhelm Brasse took thousands of prisoner ID pictures, like this one, at Auschwitz.

Brasse swapped pictures, like this of SS officer Fremel Rudolf with his wife and son, for food.

I call for a UN commission to study the veracity of these questionable photos.

Remember, there is still good left in this world.

Even if the leftists turn a blind eye to the truth and the facts of the world we live in, there are those of us left, at least 52% of the US, that know when to pick a fight for the right reasons.

I have no doubt the evil that allowed Auschwitz to happen is still around in this world, but I have hope that there is enough good to keep it in check and over come.
