Kosovo is not Albania - at least not yet. If Albanians have their way, they expect it to be a part of Greater Albania eventually, along with parts of Macedonia, more of Serbia, parts of Montenegro, and Greece (Epirus & Yiannitsa).

Yes indeed.
That's one reason that anytime I see a news report about some group of
"insurgents" or "freedom fighter"...
and there is no clear explanation of what they are fighting for...
it's just about an iron-clad lock that it's Islamics doing what Islamics do.
Ivory Coast was an example...a series of a 2 or 3 paragraph reports
about "rebels" fighting the government until the reporters slipped
up and mention that, oh, by the way, those guys are Muslims.

What kind of rubbish article is this? Prishtina? Does the author realize that Prishtina isn't even in Albania. That Greater Albania is something some Kosovars talk about, not Albanians proper. Most of the Albanians wouldn't be happy with Kosovo joining. I'm not Albanian (or American or Mexican), but I'd liken it to Northern Mexico wanting to join the US. There would be a flood of new Americans that would cause all sorts of growing pains if it happened, even if an extra state would be nice to some.

As for the general backbone of the article. I've been to Albania. I travelled bottom to top and back. I drank beers with both Christians and Muslims after Albania beat the Greek footballers and went out in the street to party with thousands in Tirana. Albania's youth has been raised Athiest by the former government. There are very few extremists of any religion. Albania is probably the most pro-American country in the world. They were one of the first three (UK,Albania,Spain) on board to head into Iraq, and are still there (UK,Albania). I've never been to Kosovo and couldn't say, but "Kosovo" and "Albania" are no more interchangable than "Canada" and "America."
