Jihad Against Oil. Al Qaeda and Dems objective in common — sabotaging oil available to America.

Energy Dependence: Al-Qaida and Democrats in Congress have a curious objective in common — sabotaging the supplies of oil available to America.

The Saudi Arabian branch of al-Qaida this week provided religious justification for its attempt last Friday to car-bomb the huge oil-processing complex in the eastern Saudi town of Abqaiq. "Targeting oil interests is legitimate economic jihad," said a 63-page document posted on a militant Islamic Web site. "Oil is the basis of modern industry and the backbone of industries in infidel countries."

Of course, through God's wisdom there's also a substantial quantity of oil in North America. But Democrats have decreed that it stay in the ground, and have spent decades making sure it does. Meantime, feasible and competitively priced sources of alternative energy remain many years away.

It's staggering to think that Islamo-fascist terrorists, and even a communist dictator, understand the economics of oil better than Democrats who continue to ignore oil as a security threat.

America remains vulnerable to an economic jihad, and for that we can thank the Democrats' years-long jihad on oil.

Here is another interesting article.

We could be independent of foreign oil, if the Dems wouldn't stop us.

US says CO2 injection could quadruple oil reserves

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1589769/posts

The United States, where oil production has been declining since the 1970s, has the potential to boost its oil reserves four-fold through advanced injection of carbon dioxide into depleted oilfields, the Department of Energy said on Friday.

The United States, the world's top oil consumer, has been successfully pumping small amounts or carbon dioxide into depleted oil and natural gas fields for 30 years to push out hard-to-reach fossil fuels.

The DOE said 89 billion barrels could potentially be added to current proved U.S. oil reserves of 21.9 billion barrels through injection of carbon dioxide, the main gas that most scientists believe is warming the earth.

The DOE gave no time frame for when the extra barrels could be added.

The amount is about what the United States, at current demand, uses in 12 years.

Never fear, the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine has the solution to our oil addiction...place a huge, crippling tax on oil so that it costs $5 a gallon or more. Then we'll all be free! We'll all be hitchhikers and who cares that milk is now $10 a gallon. Woo hoo! Bush's fault!

This article sure hit the nail on the head!

Too bad you won't take your new understanding of this phenomenon to the next level. There's still time.

I think the Democrats know exactly what they're doing.

They actively and intentionally work to reduce American dominance on the global stage. It is the all-but-stated goal of leftists here and abroad - to bring uppity America down to the level where they are forced into the marxist global state.

Excellent cartoon!

And you are right, the Dems are doing it deliberately, trying to wreck the economy of the US and diminish our influence globally.

Katherine Harris and Mel Martinez oppose drilling off of Florida. Shouldn't they be included in this conspiracy?

Good point, but the reason they oppose it, is because they are running against Dems who would crucify them, if they didn't oppose it. So the main culprits are the Gore Dems and environmentalists. Nobody dares stand up to the environuts/Dems, because they have the populations so bamboozled, that anyone running against that agenda wouldn't get elected.

There needs to be some serious education of the people, which is not happening, unfortunately.

We all want clean environment, but the Dem approach is to stop using energy and go back to the stone ages.

Amen.

Lower fuel costs would give the d-team one less thing to quarrel about.

If people ain't mad about something, or under the spell believing someone is giving them the shaft, they have no reason whatsoever to vote for democrats.

gutless to stand up to dems. all they have to do is stand up and force d-teamers make their case, which they lack. politicians are scared of the media and value their seats more than principles or constituencies.
