Good thing we have great relations with the UAE. Especially if Iran tries to close the straits.
=Good thing we have great relations with the UAE=
It seems you are too optimistic..
I forgot this: /sarc
In my opinion, the only way the Iranians could close the straits for any extended period of time is to sail thei entire navy into the straits and scuttle it.
There is no way their navy could stand up to the US navy.
That would be a pretty good coup for them to sink the Ronald Reagan. Might be a war stopper, in our current political environment.
I hope you are wrong, I doubt it but I do hope you are wrong.
=All they have to do is put a hole in one of our ships and the MSM would do the rest.
That would be a pretty good coup for them to sink the Ronald Reagan. Might be a war stopper, in our current political environment.=
You're right. Let me add some..
Iran has 3 Russian diesel submarines project 877 (NATO-classification "Kilo") (nickname "Black Hole" for their low-noise). First of all, Iran will sink any supertanker in Ormuz strait... and NYSE would do the rest.. Price of oil can achieve $100 immediately.. I think they have not intention to sink the Ronald Reagan.. without "declaration of war" it can consider as brutality..
I think the U.S. Navy will be glad to assist the Iranian Navy scuttle their ships. Hey, that's what friends are for.
The Iranian Navy ??? Its a joke, we could blast them from the face of the earth from over the horizon in 48 hours.
Then all the would have is land fill to close the Straights of Hormuz, and most of that Camel Dung.
