"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!
I am too, but the President needs to get himself out there and start taking names. He has been way too quiet lately.
Ahhhh..there's someone that agrees with me about Scott!!!
Speaking of The Apprentice.
I think so many of these guys just REFUSE to admit they were wrong on this. I swear they would rather die "right".
And I have really lost a lot of respect for many of them. If they refuse to acknowledge the facts, how can there even be an honest discussion???
I am sooo disappointed in Bill Bennett.
I am too. I think this radio show has gone to his head. He used to be more thoughtful. Now he just blurts stuff out without thinking sometimes. I know we need to be cautious about terrorist activities, but we have Muslim business people and medical people all over the country and yet I feel no panic that THEY are about to launch a missile out the back door of their businesses! Sheesh!
Yes and inspite of what Tony is saying, I don't blame Bush for blowing them off. I am sick of their backstabbing and I think he is too.
I think you are right. They have dug themselves a hole and entrenched themselves in the wrong positions. They cling to this mantra of the UAE not formally recognizing Israel. They can't see that that may be an untenable position at this time if they want to maintain their contacts in the Arab world, and we need them to have those contacts. They are not calling for the destruction of Israel so far as I know, and I think that's about all we can hope for at this time.
Looks like c-BS is at it again. Here's some more on that and Rasmussen's:

THIS IS CBS?
[via Kathryn Jean Lopez in The Corner]
A pollster type e-mails about the new CBS presidential #s:
I'm pretty livid after reading the latest CBS poll, which shows POTUS at a record low job approval, and VPOTUS in the teens.
Please check out page 18 of the pdf file that tallies up the poll. This page includes the frequency data.
Note the respective numbers of Republicans and Democrats:
GOPers: 272 (weighted up to 289)
DEMs: 409 (weighted down to 381)
INDs: 337 (weighted up to 348)
This is NOT representative of the electorate.
They also used a split-sample methodology, which is legit (we've used it ourselves), but which also INCREASES the margin of error for those questions (a fact that is usually glossed over).
You'll also note that the story at:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/27/opinion/polls/main1350874.shtml
land the pdf both reference "Americans." Not likely voters.
Now, I'll tell you right now, what "Americans" or "adults nationwide" think, doesn't matter one iota in politics, or the polling world.
Ultimately, anyone who thinks CBS is guilty of bias can find more
evidence in this poll, which is exceedingly dirty.

Rasmussen Poll: Bush Job Approval at 43%
Rasmussen Reports ^ | February 27, 2006 | Scott Rasmussen

Monday February 27, 2006--Forty-three percent (43%) of American adults approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That's his lowest Job Approval Rating since January 12.
Confidence in the War on Terror has also fallen sharply. Just 39% of Americans now believe the U.S. and its allies are winning. Thirty-six percent (36%) believe the terrorists are winning. This confirms last weeks poll showing that the Dubai Ports deal has tarnished the President's national security credentials. Just 17% of Americans favor that deal.
The President earns Approval from 48% of White Americans, 5% of Black Americans, and 39% of all other Americans.
The national telephone survey of 1,500 Adults was conducted by Rasmussen Reports over the past three nights. Margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Methodology.

And, from ScrappleFace ;-):
Poll: Bush Still More Popular Than CBS News

With his characteristic optimism, President George Bush said today that his 34 percent approval rating in the latest CBS News poll, an all-time low for his presidency, could be worse.
Im concerned, but Im not pulling my hair out, said Mr. Bush. After all, it could be worse I could be as unpopular as the CBS Evening News.
Indeed, the flagship CBS News production languishes at the bottom of the network news heap, with a mere 10 percent share of a rapidly-dwindling audience of...

And Sean Hannity is another one. I don't think he even listens anymore!
Congressional Republicans are doing what they do best. Melt into puddles of pudding while barreling toward the nearest exit.
I'm disgusted to the core with the entire lot of them.
Hey PT. I am kind of envious though. We homeschool too, yet never seem to have the time to be here like you do. Is this your civics class?
I think the point is that the Congress is abandoning the president in part because he isn't defending himself and his policies well.
There are a fair number of things the president could talk about to justify the war in Iraq, but he doesn't do it.
Letting the public believe the leftist lies about the war is a huge mistake and we're seeing the results now.
I think the President is constantly amazed at the coddling these tantruming toddler-congressmen demand.
However, he should also know this is part and parcel of politics.
Thanks! Check yours.
Morning. I am tardy this morning. I haven't read through the whole thread. Things any calmer this morning?
We still need this to get out nice and loud. The enemedia can't die soon enough.
And they also talk about the AUE support of the Taliban when the US was too before 9-11. When it came to them vs. the Russians the US supported them. And the fact that the UAE is really what we want the middleast to look like. It's ridiculous. China operates ports too! Are they our great frinds now?? I think to smack an ally of ours in the face this way is more of a threat that allowing this deal to go thru.
Whoa!
