I have two 70 lb sand bags and a 90 lb chunk of alloy steel (rejected part) from work. A rear wheel drive Ranger is a pain in Fargo's six month winter. 240 lbs of sand bags in the back of my 4WD Ranger and it still sucks in the snow.

If you want to get rid of stuff, gift-wrap it and leave it in the back of the truck. What a hoot!
I'm going to try it! LOL

Mr. Ditter has a big metal box in the back of his pickup, he has all sorts of emergency gear and tools locked in it. Anything carried in the bed of the truck except a few bags of cubes would get stolen down here. There is a gang of cattle thieves working this area too.

I have a couple of 0805 and 0603 1% resistor kits that I have forgotten to bring in for several months now. Let's see...that accounts for the first .0000000000000000001 percent of the volume; what about the rest?

Picking up the kids from school? . . . for some reason, they don't like standing out in the middle of a cow pasture loading recently deceased ducks into a catapult . . . even with Rubbermaid gloves . . .
The last training session was the first time I ever saw "duck tape" actually used on a DUCK. The poor thing had been chewed almost in half by some young dogs, and they taped it back together. Yuck.

Frozen steaks will serve as a diversion if attacked by a hungry bear or rabid dogs. Of course always traveling with a fat,out of shape buddy who you can easily out run will help too.........

When I got back from the Army, I noticed my dad was carrying around my rifle in the back of his pickup truck. Notice I said MY rifle, not his. Turns out, it'd been there for years, the entire time I was gone, through rain, snow, humongous flocks of crows flying overhead... didn't matter to him, there it sat, for years. It was completely and totally rusted out and trashed. I'll tell 'ya, I didn't care much that it was the cheapest .22 single-shot Remington a person could buy back in 1960... I got it for around $25 on sale, iirc -- a lot in those days for a 12-year-old who earned his money by shovelling snow, mowing lawns, etc. -- I wuz a teeny bit annoyed!
